The current state of the airports you could probably walk and still arrive in time to have a pint before the flight takes off To be honest had absolutely no trouble at airports last 6 months but keep seeing these queues on news reports which seem to be the same photos dug out. Yeah I've had similar experiences as you tbh. Heard of a few people having issues, seems to be more to do with food and drink outlets being rammed due to everyone getting there mega early now rather than queuing to get through security. Although I have to say East Mids has been excellent each time I've been there this year, Manchester has been overcrowded though.

To flip this thread title on its head the fiscal support the owners give to make football available to the masses of SoT is a masterclass in customer service and doesn’t get half the publicity it deserves on a national level.

People might get lucky and Hearts offer free tickets for their next home game.

I had 2 tickets, I gave up on the trains and was meant to be driving then my car failed it's MOT on Friday because of a chip in the windscreen that meant it needed a new one.
I was pissed off but I wouldn't expect a refund as it was my misfortune.......

Because the trains were cancelled at short notice, meaning fans no longer had means to travel to the game. Were the free coaches even available for this fixture? regardless of whether they were or not, if a large majority of the fanbase can't physically travel they should be refunded. We sold north of 500 tickets and it looked like there was about 200 there max from what I saw. Can't or didn't want to? Two entirely different things and virtually impossible to prove, which is why tickets rightly won't be refunded. If you had a power cut would you expect the money you paid for the stream to be refunded?

I was one who ended up not going because of the shitshow of the trains, originally on the 7 09 which was cancelled i think Thursday so it was the 9.09 which was cancelled on the Saturday morning people had emails confirming this so we had the 10.09 and no time for anything than straight to ground but better than missing out altogether, it the said on the crewe station live information boards that that train had also been cancelled so we didn't bother going to crewe as no point and started the refund process to then find out around 11pm that the 10.09 had actually been uncancelled if there is such a thing and ran 😡 to say i was annoyed is well.. after all this i still would not expect stoke to refund my match ticket why would/should they. What were the given reasons for the cancellations? Staffing issues. We caught the what was the 9.09 at Warrington and the guard said they had expected to stop the service at Preston but had managed to get some replacement staff at Preston. He didn't mention SCFC and wouldn't have know we were going up for the match.

No they shouldn’t , you buy the ticket and then it’s your responsibility how you get there nothing do with stoke , plus if as someone as said it was a testimonial so the money would be going to them

Regardless of whose fault it may have been, it’s not the clubs money to give back. for the sake of £2k or whatever it would cost them, they should. A gesture of good will to all Stoke fans affected by the train cancellations on Saturday. The club have decided to reimburse each fan with a valid, unused match ticket and will cover the cost to Hearts. Don't run your own company do you?...

I missed the Bournemouth home game last season because I was sat on the A50 outside Derby for 2 hours from 6.30 because of an accident. It never crossed my mind to ask the club for a refund on my ticket. Why should it?

Good luck with your campaign on behalf of your fellow fans
if successful could I ask your help in asking the club to refund my costs for the abandoned games in Martinique ( home rule riot ) Reggina ( Italy , snow ) and UAE ( TP’s red mist following a change in venue )
in all seriousness people really need to get away from this idea that clubs owe fans a handout every time things don’t go their way .. Saturday , as frustrating as it was , was nothing to do with the club , , and I suspect for those that did miss out the ticket money was and is the least of their frustrations

If we don't get promoted or win something every year ever do you want your money back? Pathetic post.

Profile picture of an absolute beefcake. Had a ‘sporting circle’ of people in football with insider transfer knowledge, got laughed at only to claim him and his mates were at the pub laughing at us all. Threatened to knock out Wilko, the ‘beloved Mavis’ name plaque on a bench comment when it was Mabel who sadly passed, and not to mention his calorie surplus that was so large that it would be along the lines of what Eddie Hall or Brian Shaw would consume for Worlds Strongest Man. He eats in a day what your family eats in a week you know! Sure he also threatened a poster on here with knocking them out as well, might have been SGS.

Whilst I detest the all too common attitude these days that something going wrong means someone must be at fault, in this case it most certainly isn’t the club. Look at rail provider if someone has to be blamed, or alternatively just accept that sometimes shit happens, shrug your shoulders and move on.

So to summarise, you’re disgusted that the club aren’t offering refunds out of money they never received, for something entirely out of their control, to people other than yourself. Happy Monday everybody 🙂 So by your logic, people should never speak up against or protest against things that don't directly effect them? What people tend to do in those circumstances is protest to the people that caused the problem and therefore have any power to resolve the issue. What they don't tend to do is not bother to find out any facts at all about whether or not the thing you're complaining about actually even happened in the first place and base it on "Well, what i heard was...but i don't know if it happened" and then complain to people who have no power over it and weren't involved in the action that caused disruption, then insist they pay you money that they never even received, you daft fanny. Now, if you'll excuse me i'm off to demand compensation from The Oatcake because reading your drivel has meant that i've missed my morning dump. Davef, where's there's a blame, there's a claim and all that.
