It's fantastic for history but the course shouldn't be used for an Open Championship again. 20 under to win a Major is abysmal. 8-12 under max. Fortunately some of the bunkers made it interesting but aside from that it's time to let it go. Apart from baking the ground the weather made it pretty easy in fairness- I'm obviously biased but much prefer Carnoustie as its still hard when the wind isn't howling. Loads of them got away with just twatting it at St Andrews as fairways are massive. I'd just compare the 18th at both courses and Carnoustie knocks spots off it. Jean is still finishing his putt from 1999.

If you've got Netflix there's a great episode of 'Losers' about him and what he did after. Took a lad from work who played off 18 and got through 14 confident he was breaking 90 with bogey golf - last 4 holes went 7, 5, 7 and 10 after putting it in the burn 4 times in last two holes! Really enjoyed the women's open as they seemed a lot more interested in going fairway to green rather than hacking n gouging- some of the blokes are thick as fuck like!

So, with the end of the fun at The Old Course let’s recap.
Should be the last time we get to see the miserable, conniving, cheating daddy’s boy. Shame other opens have not yet been ruled out.
The last chance to hear Nick Faldo turn every broadcast into a semi-soliloquy on what a great golfer Sir Nick Faldo was. The names are so similar I sometimes wonder if they know each other?
Then, today Feherty to jump to LIV. I will admit I have found his shtick amusing on occasion. You would have to be made of stone not to have been saddened, at least, by his personal problems. He, however, in my eyes, is the biggest traitor. I’m sure his TV ‘chat’ show will turn up somewhere else….it had the production values of a high school musical after all.

Nick Faldo has recently gone up in my estimation. He has started to do golf tip videos on you tube and is coming over as far more likeable than I perceived him to be.
