The stadium will be half empty with low season ticket sales and holiday season so this is a valiant but mostly doomed attempt to fill another 500 seats.
The mood will depend on the Millwall result and performance.
Let's hope it's a good one since momentum is all in a league of equals.

Around 17-18k is pretty good, some people were predicting between 12-15k. Blackpool will bring a couple of thousand and the crowd will be 25k+

The attendances at stoke are through bums on seats. I used to work on the turnstile and every time someone scans their card or ticket it is automatically sent to an attendance counter.

25k may well he quoted but there won't be anything like that many in the ground I don't believe. It will be a mass of empty seats. The attendances at stoke are through bums on seats. I used to work on the turnstile and every time someone scans their card or ticket it is automatically sent to an attendance counter. Not anymore it's done on overall sales. If we sell 25,000 tickets and 19,000 people physically walk through the turnstiles the crowd will be announced as 25,000. Almost every club (certainly in the top 2 divisions) does it this way.......

So all quoted attendance figures begin will all season ticket holders. So we would never quote fewer than 18,500 or whatever the season ticket figure is, even if no one at all showed up.

The use of the word ‘attendance’ is quite misleading. ‘Tickets sold’ would be better.

As some of you know I work turnstiles now and attendances are counted by how many people actually enter the stadium not tickets sold

As some of you know I work turnstiles now and attendances are counted by how many people actually enter the stadium not tickets sold How do you explain some of the attendances last season then when there was clearly 14-15k fans in the stadium and the crowds were announced as 20-21k then? That's certainly not what I've been told by a couple of people at the club, it's tickets sold (including corporate tickets).
