Where are Tezgel and Griffiths ? They haven't played a game yet this season.

Where are Tezgel and Griffiths ? They haven't played a game yet this season. I don't know about Griffiths, but Tezgel could very well be part of the extended first team matchday squad. Managers sometimes select 2-5 players who are on standby just in case. When they are not needed after all they might stay with the squad to soak in the matchday experience and learn from it. Sparrow was part of the extended matchday squad for almost a year (when he wasn't injured), as was Tymon for quite a long time. It means that the player is not at the forefront of the manager's mind but very much in the back of it.

If only there was a rectangular box that they could watch football through at pretty much any time of the day.

But he was round that matchday squad for ages it seemed under Hughes. Missed on playing though Which wouldn't of helped him.

Jokerr referenced Sparrow being in it for nearly a year and if you look through his match history he has regularly been in the Premier League 2 match day squads aside from when he was on loan at Telford. Otherwise, I don’t really understand the point they were trying to make. If you can be in the extended squad and still play, it’s not a reason for you not playing. Someone said they are injured though, that seems most likely given that the squad appears to be made of glass at every level.

Being in the non-playing, non-bench matchday squad doesn't mean that you can't play in the PL2 team. Unless they were playing at the exact same time , which they usuially arenøt, Sparrow could and did play most PL2 matches, while he was learning to become a rwb. Or trying.

Blondy actually looked like a keeper. Okagbue will make his first team debut this season, possibly towards the end of the season. 7 Reddin looks a decent player, put some great balls in and did some great work off the ball, was sometimes not seen by team mates though. Some very good moves amongst that lot, looks like we've managed to cobble together a good u21's side again, especially with Tezgel and Griffiths to come back in.

I’d love to see Eddy Jones given a chance.
He’s a way better wing back than Sparrow ever will be.
And could happily do a job as a left centre back too.

Poor lad.
