I just want to watch the best football. That’s what the champions league is. I have no interest in the ethical side I just want to watch the best in my favourite sport.

You wont be watching 'the best'. You'll be watching two clubs parachuted in, in a season or two. In five seasons it will be the European Super League. The fans have been fucked again albeit this time English football has the blood on its hands.

CL is easily the best quality football there is. Been great games the last few years Amazon did a good job on the Prem games the covered. No complaints with that

I don’t know what you mean. The best teams in the world at the moment play in the champions league. They are the most exciting and competitive games of the season at the knockout stage. What competition has consistently better games?

If the similar rules were applied to the Premier League, you are basically advocating teams like Blackburn/Leeds who knows, Sunderland (they've got a good history) being given a free pass into it permanently. It's shit.

I somehow acquired BT on my Virgin deal last winter without even asking for it - I’ve watched a bit of baseball since, not a clue what’s going on but I’d still rather watch that than the so called Champions League. It was exciting back in the day when it was the actual Champions and purely a knockout completion but now - not for me.

I agree the groups can be diluted from previous years but there’s been some fantastic football in the knock outs. No one can deny that if they watch it

All I’m saying The group games are a bit shit (with the odd honourable exception) for me but in recent years the knockout games have been terrific. This move tarnishes the whole competition though and tarnishes the clubs who waved it through. My only hope is that an English club gets fucked by one of these back door merchants in the final in the first year.

Don't more people have Amazon Prime than BT?.. don't see the issue. Amazon Prime is in a war with other steaming companies like YouTube TV and Netflix to name a couple for the control of all kinds of things including major sporting events. They are all giants worldwide compared with BT.

I have been here 41 years and still don’t see what the fuss is about when it comes to baseball, with one exception. They serve beer and hotdogs at your seat.
