It’s great to finally be back on the road/abroad again following stoke, especially given some of the great trips abroad in recent history (Leipzig/Hamburg/Duisburg)
Who’s going and where are people drinking?

What do posters do when they travel for non-Stoke-related trips? Go round the hotel asking other English people where they’re drinking tonight.

Ah there wouldn’t be many places in the city centre that would get them in trouble, most of the places to avoid would be in the northside of the inner city
There was one called the Horseshoe but the name changed and I don’t know what it’s called now but it’s right by the Cross. Also Turner’s Cross Tavern or the Evergreen but I don’t know what the Evergreen is like
The Tory Top but again, don’t know what it’s really like. Lots of locals I think, strikes me as a bit of a shithole
Tell them don’t be too offended if people make remarks about Tans 😂 short for Black and Tans, means British (but mostly English) people
This is from my friend who lives in Cork.

I don’t understand this cynicism, it’s not like it’s a usual haunt, and what’s wrong with wanting to drink/have a natter with fellow stokies? Each to their own, but if you’re not arsed, don’t worry about it. I’m sure there’s plenty of pubs to sit on your own 👍
