Genuinely interested in what everyone else thoughts are around interest overall this season overall as mine just seems on a continual wain.
Stoke were intriguing at the start and played some great stuff but by February could barely be arsed to watch a stream and barely bothered with the highlights outside of goals by the end. Thought I’d be buzzing for the world cup play offs but Scotland beating Ukraine on the way to an ethically corrupt shit hole to showcase an organisation befitting its host in the run up to Christmas really isn’t very appealing. Even if I wanted to go it doesn’t particularly look like they want the great unwashed in attendance either so it would be ridiculously dear, morally suspect and very likely a bit shit.
Couldn’t be @rsed with the champions league until the quarter finals and even then fell asleep during most of them.
The PL pendulum swinging from greeting faced poverty pleading too many games Klopp to smug faced sill nowhere need ending his CL drought despite shit loads thrown at it Pep was ‘meh’ as one of them has had it won for months. The odds for next year show it’s increasingly becoming a 2 horse race, add in Var, and the rest of the league just seems a bit of a pantomime to support the big boys. Couldn’t really give a fuck who out of the big 6 got the other euro spots although United being pish and their fans constantly being in the hump was probably a season highlight.
Forgot about fantasy football team by week 6.
The relegation battle was only interesting as would prefer Burnley down as slightly easier than Leeds thinking of next season.
Play offs are always good and a bit of real blood and thunder in what increasingly appears sterile.
I’ve genuinely enjoyed watching the women’s CL and FA cup as they were good games played in a decent spirit to the best of their abilities – just seemed something fresh and innocent about them in comparison to the win at all costs blokes game but it’ll no doubt come as their league matures.
Overall a 4 out of 10 for me and the spark just seems to be missing for me with the number of games/ time spent watching football dropping massively.

Quite high to be fair, I agree with all the historic ‘match day experience’ posts, but football wise, I’ve enjoyed it.
If anything the battle for promotion, if achieved, would be bitter sweet, as the prem bores me shitless.

Prem League 7/10 Champs league knockouts 10/10 Stoke 5/10 Women's 0/10
For the first time ever, I've actually enjoyed games as a neutral this season, more than I have my own club's games. Sad.
The Champions League knockouts have been outstanding viewing.

Premier 8/10 Champs league 9/10 Stoke 4/10 Women's 0/10 Premier League 1/10 only because man City pipped the scouse scum to the title Champs league 1/10, only while Napoli were still in it. Stoke 10/10. Stoke born and bred and proud of it. Women's 1/10

0 out of 10 for general football - it’s all deeply predictable and as I wish nothing but ill to all the usual suspects who win things I tend not to watch any games but just scan the results. Stoke - started at the usual 10 but had waned to about a 5 by the last dozen or so games of the season.
As a young man I never understood older relatives who had had a keen interest in the game but who moved on in their later years - now I understand totally.

I think this years champions league has thrown up some fantastic games. Premier league was good between the top two but the rest meh Internationals were mainly as stale as ever I watched one womens game where England won 20 nil or something, not watched any since apart from YouTube blooper videos.
Oh and Stoke, I’d forgotten about Stoke, says it all really. Another season of massive under achievement.

Matchday...85% normal level of enthusiasm, until kick off and the inevitable disappointment as the usual shit show unfolds Rest of the week...less than 50% of normal levels on the back of the lingering frustration and disappointment from the matchday dirge.
Come the start of NEXT season...100% optimism and enthusiasm again, or at least until the inevitable happens and all the early season hopes and dreams are dashed...
Or perhaps not...

Stoke would be allways 100%. Serie A probably my favourite league to watch this year along with Germany. Europa - My favourite European competition to watch this year. French - If a games on I'll watch till PSG go 3-4 up and then turn it off.
Just meh on England and the prem for me this year.

Outside of stoke I do struggle to watch motd.. but I’ve enjoyed the drama at the bottom end of the prem table lately with having Leeds and Everton mates.
The top end of the prem is dull as dishwater and over hyped to such an extent it makes it hard to watch.
I’ve enjoyed the playoffs of late and the latter stages of the Europa lg.
However… my dislike for the bulk of the personalities at the top end of the grows greater by the day. I struggle to watch games involving city and Liverpool. I can’t be entertained by them such is my dislike for them.
Like many on here I’m sure- Stokes ineptitude doesn’t wetten the appetite for more football. But the state of the game at the top is so grotesque it’s becoming so anger inducing I can’t watch it most of the time.

I still try and watch every Stoke game but once we go 1 down, I switch it off. Agree with most of the comments on here re: the Prem except for the relegation battles, which were good to watch. I was one of those who cheered when we returned to the Championship but the way MON has us playing - it’s an absolute disgrace. For the life of me, I don’t understand the man. His words and actions make no sense. It was much more fun when Boskamp was running the show. Football should be enjoyable. It isn’t any more. Once MON gets his cards, that’ll be a moment, however brief, to look forward to games again.
