Don't know whether this has been pointed out in another thread but here goes....
Fulham and Norwich have now swapped divisions for the last four seasons.
Fulham: Relegated, Promoted, Relegated, Promoted
Norwich: Promoted, Relegated, Promoted, Relegated

Two of the most pointless football clubs in this country.
Fulham go up, spend £100 trillion on attackers and midfielders but then still have Tim Ream as their starting CB.
Norwich spend about a box full of turnips and are invariably down by Christmas.
Shite, they get on my tits.

I’d take that rather than endless seasons stuck between 14th and 15th

Fulham: Relegated, Promoted, Relegated, Promoted Norwich: Promoted, Relegated, Promoted, Relegated A direct consequence of FFP and parachute payments. Clubs that don’t have the resources to compete in the Prem are given the resources to top the Championship. Whereas clubs with the resources to survive in the Prem can’t use them to get out of the Championship. It is time the government stepped in to put a stop to this restrictive practice.

Take Mitrovic and Pukki out of those sides and The Championship becomes so much tougher. Fulham can see still being a real good side but Pukki was the difference between not winning and winning games 2 seasons ago and previously

Imagine if FFP was set up so that parachute payments could only be used to offset existing wages and relegated clubs could only spend money that they create by selling and releasing players.
I fear that we're seeing the semi-conscious creation of Premier League 2.

These clubs increasingly exist to fill in the fixture list for Man City and Liverpool. It's then just a matter of how these clubs help them with their goal differences. Shit.

It's a bit rich when a Stoke fan calls other teams/clubs pointless. We have won the League Cup once in our history 😞

With an FA Cup Final, Europa League run and a League Cup Semi Final aswell as 3x 9th place finishes.. I'd rather that 10yr stint and a few years in the Champo than getting promoted one year and relegated the next, what's the point?!

We have won the League Cup once in our history 😞 I’m not justifying any claim that other clubs are pointless. In our favour, we have; 1. Founder members of the world’s first ever league. 2. Played in the first football league fixture in the world. 3. First team in the world ever to be relegated. 4. Hosted the headquarters of the world’s first ever football league whose chairman was from our club. 5. Participated in the highest league attendance for any game in Britain outside Hampden or Wembley. 6. Cultivated the first world footballing superstar. 7. Had Tony Pulis as manager.

At least we had a decade up there, these pair are just absolute guff. Next season will be Fulham's 16th season in the Premier League! I see where you’re both coming from. Without looking it up I believe Fulham had a 12 year consecutive run up there and were a hair’s breadth away from a penalty shootout to win the europa league. So mackey stitched himself a bit with his 2nd comment. However, to see both these clubs being lords of the championship is a bit annoying as they’re probably the two most edgeless clubs imaginable. Their supporters are so painfully beige that it feels somehow “unearnt” that they get to see their team constantly steamrolling the championship; like, really god of football, you choose these two gimpy rabbles to be our 2nd tier overlords?? I don’t know why that makes any difference to my annoyance levels vs say Birmingham/Cardiff being in their position, but it just feels like it does. I guess it’s just the immature apetard inside me resenting that their supporters get to enjoy those feeling of superiority; whilst at the same time being subconsciously aware that our fans (any fans) would batter theirs in a brawl.

I long for the days when any team could win the league and FA Cup.
Remember Ipswich winning the league the season they were promoted from the then 2nd Division.
I know we won't see those days again, because money is now footballs God.

I suppose Brentford offer some hope, but lets see if they can sustain it for 3-4 seasons.
That would be a major achievement.
Eventually, all of these teams outside the top 6 (i.e. effectively in Premier League 2) will go down with very few exceptions. Even Everton have dropped into this bracket.
I think clubs outside the top 6 should be awarded a major trophy for 10 consecutive seasons in the Prem and what about giving them a place in the Champions League as well?
It's a far greater achievement for a club like Stoke or Fulham to achieve 10 consecutive seasons at the top than Manchester United or Arsenal getting into the top 4.
