he was a wonderful player on the pitch. Still you'd have to say that his character off the pitch let him down at times. He should have been a superstar, played 100 games for his country. Instead he played 2 and won few honours. As for Pejic, he has stayed a Stoke diehard as has Hudson. When he criticises the team - and you'd have to say there's a fair bit worth criticising - it's because he loves the club and can't stand to watch the rubbish that's often on the pitch. Or maybe he's just a moaning cock Was moaning when 3 up v Luton last season , had to turn him off. Football matches are a roller coaster for emotions and Pejic in his constant negative diatribe ruins the match experience I have followed Stoke since the 60s and understand this was a frustrating season that should have delivered more lets hope we get there next season

A good judge of character, perhaps? Hudson didn't have much at the time, did he. İ think Hudson said when he arrived at the club from Chelsea, Pejic gave him the cold shoulder in training and was less than welcoming, strange that Hudson's arrival resulted in us almost winning the league Don't forget Pejic played in the very same league chasing team and like Hudson was a key member.

Agree with most of the comments. Very hard to listen to, and the same old commentary about formations again and again. They should have a rotating co-commentator with no repeats through the season. That'd be interesting. Robert Huth first please. They would have to fly him in from Berlin. Probably not part of the budget.

Fly him to Berlin, preferably further

Pejic was one of my heroes in the 70s but he doesn't half get on my nerves on the radio. Certain players are always criticised while others get away with it. He was definitely a Batth fan as well - no nonsense defender who does his job properly etc showing just what a dinosaur Pejic is. He still thinks you should play the game like he used to. My memory of him is that he would spend far too long suspended to be of any use these days.

I think he just wants Stoke to be as successful as possible but with commitment/dedication levels on a par with his own + Dennis Smith, Banksy etc I know the World’s “moved on” but I don’t see a problem with highly paid modern mercenaries at least being expected to give 100% like the local lads used to?

He is awful and the most depressing person to listen to: Alan Hudson has often said Pejic was less than welcoming to him when he arrived at the club, shows what a good judge of a footballer he was Shock horror, some team mates don't get on. It happens in all walks of life & I don't think it's got anything to do with being a good judge of a footballer. . I like Mickey Pejic. He says it as he sees it, speaks his mind and was the best left back I've ever seen in a Stoke shirt and an excellent coach under Lou Macari. He might be a miserable so & so but he's our miserable so & so. Denis Smith once told me that Huddy was by far the best player he'd ever played with but as a man he thought he was a c***. Denis still gets really pissed off because he thought Huddy wasted his talent and could have done so much more if he hadn't followed the path of George Best. Opinions. Alan Hudson for me was the best player I have ever seen live. He was absolute class and he had his demons, like so many geniuses.

He reminds me of when the BBC used to roll out Geoff Hurst on WC panels. Bleating about the game in his day and seems to have a chip on his shoulder about modern day players. Thankfully they saw their errors and binned him. Agree re Pejic and defenders, big stoppers are his idea of a centre back and a forward should be 6ft 2 plus and only score with headers. 1975 has passed although he would still fit in there.

Someone needs to have a word with him, why does he tell us every week. Everyone has some feedback in there job, please somebody tell him not to say it anymore Just because you listen every week doesn’t mean there isn’t a first time listener who find such information useful? It’s a basic introduction that is done on most commentaries isn’t it? There’s plenty to have a go at them for but that just seems like a basic thing that should be done? What a load of nonsense you play to your audience and I would suggest that 99 or even 100% listen to the same shit every week

It’s pretty standard stuff.

“Wrong decision by Maja there, he just needed to do a maradona spin followed by a rainbow flick and then volley it into the top corner from 50 yards. Needs to be much more clinical.” Followed by “it’s as simple as that” He’s certainly a glass half empty kind of guy. My favourite quote today was hearing about “the corridor of chaos” or something to that effect for every QPR free kick lol.

I think the term 'corridor of uncertaity' originated as a cricketing expression where the batsman is given a very difficult choice between going for a tempting ball or playing safe and leaving it alone. Tempting being the key point. Likewise in football, it's a clever winger who can put that cross in that the goalie struggles to judge whether to come for or leave.

I don't mind him, just because he doesn't jump up and down with excitement when one one of ours manages to pass it to another doesn't mean he's wrong. He was right to criticise Brown for example when he completely stoped a promising attack by passing side ways instead of running at the defence or Baker when he was choosing the wrong options after we'd gone in front, he gives enough praise but its not like we're absolutely smashing it atm, there's plenty to be critical of.

I only caught his first 45 minutes commentary yesterday and he was moaning his arse off about certain players but at FT he was complementary about the same players throughout the entire game.
Baffling 🤡🤡🤡

I don't mind Pej. He tells it how it is.
I'd rather listen to him than some of the other drips they have on there.
