I can see a return to a back 3 for this having seen the way the baggies lined up last night Bonham Smith Wilmot Jagielka THB Tymon Allen Baker Vrancic Brown Campbell or JPB(if fit)
They played 3x 6ft centre backs and Andy Carroll up top so height maybe a problem

Yeah, okay.

Can we emulate the performance we showed in the home game against these i very much doubt it as we have been utter crap since that game. Play like we did at Reading & we could be in for a right dicking.

Yeah, okay. It's more than okay. Provided our defenders don't kick long high balls to them all the time, two of those and/or DWP could give big boys a nightmare. However, O'Neill likes a forward with muscles which means that Maja currently is undropable. Scores goals? Minor concern...

There's a 4 page thread questioning our Technical ability so playing a dynamic style by outpassing our opponents doesn't sound promising and like others have said lumping it up field against 3 monster CBs is less likely to be fruitful
So that's
Stoke 0 (nil)

same as most weeks Stoke get beat, strikers changed on 70 minutes.

If JPB is fit would deffo play him, especially against 3 big lumbering CB's I'd be happier if we played JPB, DWP and Campbell in some sort of three, with a bit of pace and trickery, but if we're playing 3-5-2, it's difficult, unless one of our double barrelled options plays behind the other two with Allen and Baker. However, I can't see MON dropping Brown or Maja to be honest, so batten down the hatches.

The most depressing moment of Stoke matches for months now is when Fletcher is brought on late in the game. I just know, that’s it, game over. I mean, when was the last time he scored a goal or had any influence on the outcome? Can’t he just be left out of the squad now, give a youngster a chance. We’ve got nothing to play for, after all.

I think they should do that throughout the team it is time Forrester, Sparrow, Porter et al were given a chance.

One of those players despite looking finished is competent in the air the other just isn't.
