Mostly musicians for me Reni from the Stone Roses Karl Hyde (Underworld) Keyboard player from Elbow Marcus Mumford David Dewaele (Soulwax/2Manysdjs) Money Mark Pat from LCD Soundsystem Singer from Future Islands Also a few 6 music djs, Shaun Keveaney, Mark Radcliffe, Stuart Maconie, Matt Everett, Mark Riley etc From telly, Hairy Bikers, Gordon Ramsey, Maxine Peake, Ken Dodd, Lewis Collins. Martin Platt, Dev, Des Barnes, and Kev all from Corrie, in particular Kev who's in a pub down the road nearly all the time it's open. Nice fella Most famous was probably Wayne Rooney, with Colleen who was at local power league football thingy watching his son play. The amount of times they got asked for photos etc in an just under an hour was incredible. Felt sorry for him in the end as he just wanted to watch his kid play football so we chose not to bother him. Michael Carrick, fellow Utd and England player was with him and didn't get bothered once. Thats the difference between being famous and really famous I suppose. Chris Iwelumo sat in front of me at a circus very briefly. He is fucking massive. Nice list. Reni from the Stone Roses, best drummer of the last 40 years imo. Doesn't play at all these days, sadly. What a loss. I met Ian Brown at Manchester airport when they were supposed to play Glastonbury '95 but pulled out because John Squire broke his collar bone mountain biking! He was a nice guy, absolutely stank of fags but happy to chat and sign my Glasto prog.

Steve interesting Davis, took the piss out of my Hawaiian shirt, Dennis Taylor, it was when Trentham held the snooker tourno. Many Stoke related players too. Cilla Black when she toured Beswicks back in the mid 70's. Melvin Hayes of It Aint Half Hot Mum, George Sewell an actor, these two in the Stage Door pub in Hanley.

I seem to remember that we had a similar thread not so long ago, within the last couple of years I think, but I can't recall the thread name unfortunately. Anyway, in no order of priority or preference, and certainly not a complete list Many motorsport drivers and riders - F1, BTCC, Rally, MotoGP, Superbike - all due to work over 20 year period Barry McGuigan - likeable and very funny Chris Rea - very down to earth and a genuinely nice man Keith Flint (Prodigy) - fairly quiet but very friendly Boycie from Only Fools - nice blokej Don Estelle - "Lofty" from It Ain't Half Hot Mum" - selling his CD's in Watford shopping centre (I didn't buy one !) Hannah Gordon - actress - sat next to her from Heathrow to Manchester Saw Brendan Foster and Steve Cram at the next Boarding gate at Heathrow. Jeremy Bowen - BBC - chatted to him as we were waiting in a very lengthy security check having just landed at Tel Avuv. Phil Tufnell - very arrogant and extremely obnoxious Steve Rider - BBC sport presenter from a few years ago - nice bloke Suzy Perry - TV sport presenter at the time - very arrogant Ted Hankey (darts player), came to view my house a few years ago and actually put in an offer. Yvette Fielding (Most Haunted) in front of me in the queue at Sainsbury's in Nantwich Probably the earliest was just after I'd left school and for a short time I worked at Norman Rhead's builders merchants in Normacot and John Farmer came in to order some materials for his house. I did see Prince Andrew (unfortunately) whilst he was on some trade visit in Dubai around 2005ish. There's quite a few more I'm sure, but I can think of them at present. Love to have a chat with Chris Rea. I could give you his telephone number as he's one of my clients as is the Queen and Sue Barker but I'd be breaking at least one law if I did.

What you have to remember is that like everyone else a famous person can have their off days and approaching them while there eating or talking to their mates and pestering for selfies is a no no
Treat them as you would like to be treated yourself
I've been with my best mate and people have badgered her for photos etc when she's been eating which is not on Be polite and treat them with respect

Former actor & wrestler Brian Glover, a lot bigger in person with a huge neck. Michelle Collins (Cindy Beale), Christopher Biggins (strange bloke), Robbie from Eastenders, played tennis against John Picard from Two Point Four Children. Gordon Ramsey, a nice bloke in person. Lou Macari, see him once a month & never had the courage to ask for a photo lol. Sat next to Heather Small in a bar, whilst playing touch Rugby against her ex boyfriend & former Wigan Rugby League player Shaun Edwards.
When the queen & Prince Phillip came to stoke in around 98/99 I was given the task of collecting flowers outside stoke station off the watching crowd.

Lemmy. At the Rainbow in LA. I was ticking off a bucket list thing by visiting there one afternoon on holiday in LA, and in he strolled for a photo shoot with Phil Campbell from Motörhead. I managed a few words and played the "from Stoke" card, to which he dryly replied "ah, Sunny Stoke" . Also stood next to Steven Tyler from Aerosmith when I was on honeymoon. We were in a queue for the hotel pool bar and he was chatting up the girl working the till. .

I don’t think I’ve ever met anyone that famous.
Tracey Brabin when she was in Coronation Street Miles Kane when he was in The Rascals (had a cig with him outside the Underground) Always see Ricardo Fuller in the gym and we’re on nodding terms A few other footballists like Samir Nasri

In 1985 I went in Spar and Sean Penn was there at the cereal aisle. He looked at me rolled his eyes and said "She's sent me out to get some cereal ". He got a box of cornflakes and before he got to the counter Madonna walked in and said "Not those. Get Rice Krispies" Penn dutifully swapped his breakfast item.
Another time I was in a doctor's waiting room and Barbara Streisand was waiting too. It was a bit awkward so I had to say something. I just asked if she saw much of Robert Redford. She said "Not so much these days".
