I go down at half time and go out with the smokers where you find a decent food stand with hardly any queue. On a side note does sweaty burger man still ply his trade. What a character he was. That's my plan of attack when my girls are moaning they're hungry. Refuse to purchase the club catering offerings as its just not value for money. Far more choice and better quality food outside at the catering van near the satelliteticket office. Every sauce & condiment you could wish for aswell on the adjacent table they put out. They even had a jar of gherkin pickles out the other night aswell, quality. Only downside is the walk back into the ground through the heavy lingering toxic smoke cloud!

Bayern must be bored, starting a thread about matchday food. There must be a quota of posts/threads he has to be involved with to get free wi-fi in the asylum he resides.

Or it's gone semi viral on Twitter...... Their other tweets that day have currently got 91 and 187 replies, 68 and 246. That tweet has 807 replies and 491 retweets. Nearly 12,000 votes on the poll too compared to 6500 and 9500!

They were awesome and as you say no-where else sold them. Did they ever sell at the Britannia In the early days or was that just a Victoria Ground treat?

Just been browsing around that Twitter account and some of the food, even at non league grounds, knocks that pathetic effort from our club right out of the park:

Elland rd used to have a Chinese take away...maybe still does but this was during the Euros. It wasn't great. Personally wait until after a game as just can't be arsed although there used to be a chap who religiously took a pack of sausage rolls and a 4 pack of Tartan Ale out of his bag in the Butler St stand at the Vic. Pretty sure he did it after the booze ban but no one bothered the old fella.

I don’t remember where exactly but when visiting the Etihad a while back, I had the best chips and gravy I’ve ever eaten in my life whilst walking to the ground. I say gravy, it was more like a piece of gravy it was so thick. Excellent.

The lower league clubs totally showing us up with some delicious looking food. They've made an effort to get punters in, and decent food will do that, helping make a day of it.
We are so poor off the pitch it's unbelievable. The game and all that goes with it has moved on light years, but we're stuck in a shite stadium with dreadful travel arrangements and nothing decent once you get there, unless you like getting into a juvenile crush at one of bars, or godawful merchandise involving gnomes and street signs.
It's almost like we been sanctioned and no one's actually noticed the difference.

I don't know what all the fuss is about In all seriousness, it just shows again what detritus we're supposed to accept in all areas of our club both on and off the pitch.

I accuse the club of being half-arsed but that 'food' is not even at that standard.

We have some fantastic local independents which would be great to have in the fanzone. With the way the club is going we will never get our fan zone but it would be great offering different stalls at different games with brewed ale screens etc. I've banged this drum for the last few years but nothing gets done. With how everyone feels and the whole feeling running through the club it would be a perfect time to announce it to bring fans together before the game and improve the atmosphere.

Probably ah, where they play all that Gaelic shite Down with this sort of thing In older times when they didn't have a ball they would use a badger's bladder. Don't make them bring back that tradition now Badgers?

When you see what other clubs do it really does show us up. The level/ standard of service and complete lack of efficiency remains an embarrassment too.
As I’ve said on another thread before- if the standard of the food / beer / concourses were decent folk would be getting in the ground earlier and spending their money!
Going to watch a game at the Bet365 is a very, very sorry experience.
