I thought they were very impressive.

It was a disgraceful performance from Stoke.

If they are a poor team I don't know what that makes us. Their passing, control, movement, pressing was far superior to ours. If they'd had a decent goal scorer they'd have been 3-0 up at half time. It was a disgraceful display by us but that doesn't take away from their performance. I stand by what I said they were a very honest, hard working team who did the basics well and didn't come to foul, dive or waste time. They've also got 4 more points than us this season.

We made Blackpool look better than they really are with our tepid play.
Beaten by a vanilla wafer dipped in tea. Soggy as they were, that wafer at least played like a team.
We've become a not-for-profit charity at home.
OK I'll stop now - I'm just pissed. (Whether it's ON or OFF I have yet to determine)

Blackpool were as shite as we were.
Sad thing is, within 2 or 3 minutes of sitting down I knew it was going to be a thoroughly wank game.

Big crowd so why didn't they open more turnstiles? Queues were ridiculous.
Also, why not do the 1972 tribute at half time when there was actually a crowd in?
I know the main thing is what the team does but it's so amateurish off the pitch. I don't think they realise what a shambles it is from the padded seats.

You play a very high line with plenty of pressure against our back four, waiting for the tippy happy back passes to go horribly wrong. It’s just as though each and every away team does their homework on us. They double up on our playmakers, a revolutionary idea which seems to have bypassed our management as we haven’t got a clue how to play against the opposition at home.

Spot on mate with both points,2 turnstiles open for the main stand with a bigger crowd anticipated, you really couldn’t make it up. Then the presentation to the remaining 1972 heroes at 2-40🙄yes 2-40 when most Stoke fans are not in the ground, utterly clueless

I know the main thing is what the team does but it's so amateurish off the pitch. I don't think they realise what a shambles it is from the padded seats. Yes shortage of turnstile operators is probably not an excuse now. I'm sure they could have asked for agency staff to fill in. As with the Shawcross debacle though the1972 tribute was a complete shambles. I was not aware of a planned tribute not having seen any announcement about it. Normally I would be in my seat be 2.40 but having arrived at Trentham Lakes at the normal time it took me much longer to get to the car park which was much fuller than usual so couldn't park in my normal space (Can anyone tell me why the roundabouts have to be shut off to traffic coming off the A52 because somebody gets a message that a coach is coming and will be there in 5 minutes if they get a clear run?). Even after that I arrived at the turnstile at the normal time as usually I would sit in the car till half past. I got to my seat as they were lining up to kick off having listened to the tribute from outside the ground. They must have known there would be queues outside with the figures of ticket sales so why arrange the tribute for pre match without advertising it? An announcement might even have got people arriving at the ground earlier and helped to relieve turnstile pressure later on. I did expect to see the heroes who were there on the pitch at half time to at least give all of us a chance of showing appreciation. The queuing situation wasn't helped by people not realising which turnstile they needed to go through so queuing in the wrong place but all very predictable when you had lots of new fans at the ground. I don't suppose many will be rushing back anytime soon. Organisation non existant, football boring. Most of the new fans round us were kids under 10 who must have been begging to go home at half time. They want to see excitement, goals and hear noise then they'll be hooked for life. I did think before kick off that seeing the ground full and the heroes of 1972 might encourage the players to start off really up for it but they couldn't have cared less.

I'd snap their hands off for that Bowler lad (11)!!! He was good but we made him look like ronaldocruyff, he passed the ball and then ran into space. For some reason we couldn’t seem to mark him even though 26600 people could see he was their biggest threat.

Getting a pint at half time was ridiculous upstairs yesterday. Not football related I know but after that first half shit show you needed some pleasure - but no, just 2 fucking people on the bar, queue for ages and give up, back to seat even more pissed off. Go home wondering why I bother.
