The Bournemouth one is atrocious Their away support as a fraction of their home support is pretty impressive though.. especially when you take their geographical location into account

The Bournemouth one is atrocious Their capacity is only 11,364 and they might not be automatically counting season ticket holders.

As if QPR, on average, take more away than Stoke

As if QPR, on average, take more away than Stoke It all depends when you play teams as well. If we had played Coventry and Barnsley when we should of, that would of been two followings of over 4k and would of pushed are away following average up. Not sure how many we took Coventry in the end, with it being midweek, but would of thought no where near that. Same will go for Barnsley being midweek now.

I think QPR sold out at Coventry and a full allocation at Peterborough, they've suddenly gone full on away travel this season for some reason.

Wonder how this translates with gate receipts.
Our attendance figures are heavily supported by low ticket prices.

I don’t know why people are shocked at Bournemouth. Their natural fighting weight is 3rd/4th tier. They had huge investment to become a strong championship club and make it to the premiership. But the attendances still largely reflect the size of the club. They need to expand their ground / move really so that, if they get to the premiership again, they can build their fan base that way. Although I’d much rather the annoying cunts were competing with the likes of Rochdale/port vale which is where they naturally belong.

Bournemouth is weird. The population of tbe borough of Christchurch Poole and Bournemouth is a hefty 400k. But they don't really like football do they? Except for TP obvs.
They typify the general trend of small clubs from the south displacing the northerners at higher levels (Watford, Brentford, but no Sheff clubs or Sunderland in top flight) and repeated down the leagues where Forest Green, Cheltenham, Sutton, Crawley etc have emerged to displace Chesterfield, Notts Co, Halifax. Obviously there are exceptions like Salford or Barrow's comeback, but I reckon analysis would back up my extremely superficial findings...

Stoke are definitely counting season ticket holders in the average then. I’d say more like 15,000 average over the season so far

Funny how no one questions Bournemouth being owned by a Russian.
