Nothing to play for now, play-offs have been out of sight for ages and now we’re out of the FA cup but let’s hope MON keeps playing his best 11 and going for a win in every match to finish on a high and build up some momentum for next season. Gouranga.

We are desperately shit out of luck at the moment. Im not really sure where we go from here, its not the Palace result, id of taken it before, but then I have said that too many times this season. We did see MON throw caution to the wind, all be it too late, CB and Powell off for 2 strikers. He has to go with that mentality from now until the end of the season from the get go, we aint going down, or up. I suspect he wont and we will finish 12-16th

Would just be nice to win some football games.
Feels like we’ve hardly won any all season!

I'd love us to put a good run of results together and win say 5 (or more) in a row (something we've not done since Jesus was born), it'll make dishing out the best part of £400 for next season a bit sweeter. Gouranga.

Season tickets on sale soon. Players need a kick up the backside....
And we are not mathematically safe yet ....

I really don't think the change of formation has helped. Regardless of what you think about a back 4 or back 5 changing formation mid season was always a risk and it hasn't really worked. We also made too many changes in the January window to maintain any consistency. I get why we did it, I like who we've brought in and I think we'll benefit next season but coupled with the change of formation it's almost like we're playing preseason games while the rest of the league are fully up to speed with a consistent starting 11 and an established way of playing.
Having said that given we look like we're heading for a mid table finish maybe it's not a bad time to be experimenting with a view to getting ready for a proper run at promotion next season. We don't have the ability to grind out results just yet and I'm sure we are going to have some more frustrating results before the end of the season but we've got a decent squad and I can't help thinking if we do click we'll give some teams a good hiding. But then its the hope that kills you...

I think it’s not dodging any issues to say we are desperately out of luck at the moment. Everything that can go against the team does - refs, the break of the ball etc. To me the rest of the season is about trying to develop certain players (who are going to be here next season) in certain roles. The thing that always screams out to me is that we need another Glenn Whelan. Doesn’t have to be the most gifted of players but someone who has the engine and the attitude to carry some of the more talented attackers and protect the defence - Joe Allen does everything he can but it’s not his natural role and he would be helped as much as anyone. The thing we don’t need is the instability of people trying to build a campaign against the current management team.

Whilst I appreciate and admire the sentiment of the OP, I suspect the lack of response to this thread in general sums up the general apathetic fucked-off-ness of your average Stoke fan at the moment.

Has the manager gone yet? He doesn’t seem in a good frame of mind acknowledging in his interview it was another loss even tho we played alright.. he’s feeling the pressure

Whatever happens they'll be yet another rebuild in the summer.
8 of the players who started last night are either out of contract or loans going back to their parent club.
Not sure how you can build for the future and get a settled team or plan on this basis.
