Forest fan told me they still sing about winning the European Cup (fair enough) Do we have any witty songs to pre-empt this e.g. about Cloughie or Malmö being toss opposition "We've Won it Two Times" is always a great reply to when they start singing "Champions of Europe You'll Never Sing That".. They're still convinced they were formed before us & are the oldest league club! I keep trying to edit & change their Wikipedia page claim that they're the oldest club but someone keeps editing it back! They must have 24hr monitoring of it or something, sad Gits

Just highlights the monumental effort by TP's team to get to a F.A Cup final and then lose to arab cash Was it 12 months later that Wigan won the FA Cup against that same Arab cash? 😁I knew praising gold Tony and his golden ✨️ boys would get a reaction. He took us to a Cup final end of the day, first in 40 years, its like the kid at McDonald's winning a 3 week stay in Hawaii

Injuries did us on the day. We got into Europe which was great also as many never thought we'd never see that although always some fool who uses the default cliche comment which of course is nonsense, we qualified under the rules of the competition.

Born in Hucknall so I imagine so. I think they said so on the commentary on Sunday. I'd still test his ribs out early doors if I were Powell Trouble with that is he might test out Powell's recently broken leg which took a lot longer to heal than Warrell's ribs

I used to hate how we never seemed to give it a go against teams who were perceived to have better squads than us. There would never be any giant killing if all teams were as cautious as Pulis against big teams. I remember being drawn at home as a second tier club against a struggling Everton who were on a really bad losing streak in a season in the early Pulis era and thinking this is our chance for an upset We lost 1-0 if my memory serves me rightly.

Looking forward to this one, lucky to get a ticket and amazingly not done forest away.
Notts county bar by ground caters for away fans as well so looking forward to few beers and think our pace can hurt them.
2-3. Maja, Powell and brown

Can any Nottingham stokies advise whether they're insufferable at the moment or just giddy as fuck? Despite living in Nottingham I know no Forest fans. I live in a prominently County or Derby area. I haven't noticed any over the top reaction or seen any more Forest paraphernalia on display.

Wigan didn't have an injury list like ours. Pennant, Walters and Jones all carried injuries into the game as well. We took one or two decent scalps under Pulis. To use the final as an example a poor one

He took us to a Cup final end of the day, first in 40 years, its like the kid at McDonald's winning a 3 week stay in Hawaii He sure did and he is one of the top 5 managers in Stoke's history IMO, but to make out as if it was a heroic accomplishment to "only" lose against City 1-0 is just plain wrong. As always, we set out to avoid a heavy loss rather than try to win, which given our accomplishments against them was unnecessary and, as Wigan showed 12 months later, not the way to win the first ever FA CUP in Stoke's history. I believe that if we'd won that single game, the vast majority of people would place Tony Pulis in the top 2 Stoke managers ever (if not the top)! In my opinion a missed opportunity both for the club and for him personally.
