Giving him the job in the first place was bonkers. I described him as the nightmare appointment at the time. Thankfully that particular nightmare is over but now comes the harder part, choosing the next man through the door. Why was this guy such an anus ...? And whose in the frame to take over...? Be intersting to hear from someone whose attached to the club thats all..... When he got the job I described him as the nightmare appointment. I'd followed his career at Oldham, Barnsley and Bristol City and knew he was good at talking gobbledegook but had achieved nothing, never even reaching the play-offs. He'd twice survived eight defeats in a row before finally even his pal at Bristol City knew enough was enough. I couldn't believe it when we appointed him. He finally won something with us, The EFL Trophy and took us to the play-offs but lost in the semi-finals. But thankfully he's gone now. Who is in the frame? There are lots of names being mentioned but I don't think our young owner has any idea yet. Alex Neil's name is getting a lot of mentions but no-one knows. I'm sure you'll empathise when I say it's as much who you dread getting it as who you want at these times. The last two were shockers and names like Neil Lennon could keep you awake at night!

I feel your pain..... Our 'roll of honour' over the last few years isnt anything to crow about. We seem to have a bit of stability right now with O'Niel, but with the high earners (well most of them) now being jettisoned, we seem to be on a slighty lopsisded keel at the moment as opposed to an even one. Consistency is missing big time, with a really good away showing one week, followed by a complete turd of a homegame the next. Consistent formation changes and not reacting to in-game changes from the opposition also hampers us big time.....thats how I see our plight right now anyway. GOod luck for the rest of the seaon - whoever you get lumbered with !
