Weird to think over 10 years ago he was one of the most exciting footballers on the planet. Literally had everything - pace, power, skill, strength, finishing. I remember watching him at Inter when I was out in Italy in 2010 and he was a genius. To the point I said to mates back in England I thought he'd be better than Ronaldo or Messi one day!! He won Serie A and the champions league before playing a huge role in City winning their first Premier league title (and of course that FA Cup Final 😒) He then goes and rips future world champions Germany to shreds in the Euro 2012 semi final and was one of the players of the tournament aged just 20. A couple of good years with AC Milan and then it all started to go wrong. What a tragic waste of talent. Great to see him back scoring goals, in the Italy set up and still only 31! In fairness he never really stopped scoring goals aside from that disastrous period at Liverpool. But it was the off field antics that seemed to screw his career up. www.google.com/amp/s/www.bbc.com/sport/football/60125667.amp

When we signed Arnie I’m sure there was some line from somewhere about how when he and Balotelli were thick as thieves at Inter, Arnie was the mad one 😂

such a shame, as somebody above said he had it all and could have been mentioned in the same breath as Messi and Little Ronnie but his attitude and approach to life has let it slip away!
even so the stories of his adventures/misdemeanours are fantastic

Elvis Costello wrote ‘Indoor Fireworks’ after a night in with Mario. (To be fair it was just the bathroom curtains in the end wasn’t it?)

No idea what was actually burnt in the end myths and legends just blew up round him! I still love the story from his mother about when he got his place when he moved to Man City and his mum sent him out with a shopping list for household needs, iron and washing machine etc, he came back with none of what she wrote but a truck from John Lewis with a trampoline and toys in it

I feel that Ravel Morrison was a tragic waste, given that he never actually did anything and yet, was once suggested to be one of the best prospects in football. Ferguson: "A brilliant footballer. Brilliant ability. Top class ability. Needs to get away from Manchester and start a new life" He has played less than 170 games in his career! Balotelli however has won Serie-A 3x, the Champions League, their FA cup and Charity Shield, the Premier League, FA Cup and was integral to Italy’s 2012 European Championship runner’s up position. He could have done more perhaps, but he was not a tragic waste.
