He’s a player who just keeps on getting better, he seems very grounded, and is clearly working on developing his game with the coaching team .

Is there any evidence of the Rangers link in any of the press north of the border?
My only concern would be if Jacob did go (and I dont want him to) would we re-invest the money wisely?

We invested money in him wisely, despite the experts on here saying we'd spunked it up the wall. Why shouldn't we do so again?

Nice gesture today when JB gave shirt to a young fan in the family stand I'm sure I saw him do this before. Some lad had a sign "Jacob can I have your shirt". He seems a real good egg does our Jake, probably my favourite player. He does miss sitters but he's a real inspiration with how far he's come along since last season.

I have to say, I’m not a fan. I think he’s very limited in intelligence and ability. He’s reaped his rewards through hard work. There is no way and Prem clubs will be in for him, not a chance. If we’re hoping Brown will be the shining light to lead us to the Premier league I think all be waiting a long time. Not trying to be negative, and the proof will be in the pudding over the next two seasons. He’s a good honest player with a hell of a work ethic but it should be remembered that many of his goals are coming when we have nothing to play for, no pressure football.

One of the main reasons he's improved in my opinion is down to confidence. Last season the stadiums were empty abd he seems the type to really need that.
He's doesn't get a frustrated with himself if he makes a mistake either. It's easy to loose your head if things aren't going your way.
His improvement in front of goals has been so impressive and I think its clear he can still improve.

I agree with your assessment of the player and am surprised at any links to premier league clubs but to categorically rule them out is to claim to know the unknowable. If such interest does materialise it could mean an unexpected windfall for the club. I wouldn’t expect him to thrive in the Prem but who could blame him for taking the opportunity to try should it present itself.

Well done to him, clearly works hard to improve himself.
Now is the time to sell and everyone would I'm sure wish him well.
We need to spend on midfield, full backs and a central striker

why are people trying to get us to sell Jacob Brown, without is goals we would be fucked, if Tyrese put harf the work in as he does we would have people on here saying he is worth £20 million

Not really relevant who is/was better. Are similarities in playing style/colour etc of course.
Agree with Badgo, player of the season for me.

The biggest compliment I can think of this morning is “where would we be without his 14 goals this season”. There’s no doubt that he’s worked hard and listened to the coaching staff, his level improvement is eye catching

Being picked by Scotland really seems to have increased Brown’s confidence.
Let’s hope it continues. For anyone getting carried away I will whisper Carl Saunders and his record breaking purple patch.

Yes but you still have to score them and getting into goal scoring positions is a good habit to have. good strikers instinctively get in good positions.

He’s a good honest player with a hell of a work ethic but it should be remembered that many of his goals are coming when we have nothing to play for, no pressure football. It your opinion to have but what a kid of bollocks. If our players with more ability and intelligence as you would describe applied half the effort and tenacity to their game that Jacob shows we would have walked this league and he would still be one of the first names on the team sheet. His pressing and tracking show game intelligence and as tachyon has shown with his stats he has a really good habit of being in the right place at the right time which means it’s more judgment than luck. The championship is not an easy league and we need more like Jacobs attitude to move us out of it, would he be limited in the premier league maybe he would unless he’s there you would never know some players just step up when playing with better players. Look at Harry Kane nobody rated him 9 goals in a championship season then Tim sherwood gives him a run in the premier league and he hasn’t looked back. And before someone says I’m comparing Brown to Kane I’m not I’m talking about sometimes what you see at the beginning isn’t what you get at the end, I think we could get 20 goals out of Brown next season especially if paired with a Campbell who gets his spark. If Campbell can’t find his missing piece from this season I know which of the two with have premier league suitors and I know which one would be of more use to us and that would be the one who’s dad didn’t play for Arsenal

I was massively underwhelmed by Jacob last season, as were many, but couldn’t fault his effort. This season he has shown a knack for making runs and an instinct to get on the end of chances. Many of his goals have been very good indeed. We absolutely can’t do without him given his strong goalscoring form. However, we need a central striker who can play alongside Jacob and a set up that makes the most of what we have. I’m not sure where Tyrese fits in unless we went three up top but that would realistically mean bringing in a left and right back, plus a defensive midfielder. I think Jacob can add assists to his all round game as he can play from the right and cross quickly and accurately at times. Get someone on the end (still not sure about Maja) and we could spread the goals around the team more. Will Brown get 20 next season? I wouldn’t have thought he’d have got 15 this season and he hasn’t always started. Play to his strengths and work on his weaknesses over the pre season and 20 goals might not seem too bonkers. He deserves so much credit for his perseverance and endeavour, which have now seen him linked with Premiership teams.
