Andy Carroll must have scored the best 2 disallowed goals tonight for Reading against Fulham, superb finishing, overhead kick and volley. But the best one not allowed that I recall was an over head kick by Beagrie in the late 80's(?) when the daft ref penalised him for dangerous play!

Jesus Hates Christ Reading are even worse at the back than we are with Chesters ( ) at centre half.

That's worrying form right at the wrong time and very large stadium in the 3rd tier.

0-7?! Some way to end a long run of not winning a league game for Fulham.

That’s Fulham’s second 7-0 win this season, they beat Blackburn away in November 😮

It was Carl Beeston with the disallowed overhead kick.

I've read reports that state despite the scoreline Carroll was the only positive to come out of their disastrous match v Fulham & never gave up despite what was going on around him.
He got a full round of applause from the Reading fans at full time, just before they quickly turned on their manager who will surely be fired within the next 24hrs!
Hadn't realised Carroll was only on a short term deal with Reading until mid January & apparently is able to consider any other options that come his way before the end of January.
Now despite Carrolls well documented injury record it did get me thinking that a short term, tailored deal to get him in until May on perhaps a pay as you play type deal may be worthy of consideration. Carroll & Brown or perhaps Campbell may be quite a partnership as he either is more than capable of scoring goals himself, but his ability to create knock downs and hold the ball up for Campbell & Brown would be food for thought and definitely add something different to what we've already got.
I get that he wouldn't be everyone's cup of tea & is going to be far past his best, but he clearly wants to keep playing football & is capable of scoring great goals as the match v Fulham has shown, they were both great strikes despite both being disallowed . He sure knows where the net is so could still be an asset for us in the short term. Definitely wouldn't throw ridiculous amounts of £'s at him but if a reasonable deal could be struck to get him in for the second half of the season I'd be willing to give it a go.

That second goal in particular is an absolute cracker! Can't help but think it's a bit stupid being offside there though, he's looking at the whole defensive line in front of him. Schoolboy stuff.

It was Carl Beeston with the disallowed overhead kick. Corrected. I was in Boothen and think it was the opposite goal.

I’ll be the controversial one. I think he’s a good striker when fit. There I said it. And yes I know he’s never fit. Those “goals” he scored the other night are a good example, he is capable.

I’d take him here for 6 months tbh. He’s exactly what we need.
