Absolutely. Sadly possibly not enough nowadays owing to age. I’d love a system to accommodate both to be honest. They played together regularly before Powells injury imho they played well together too I didn’t see enough of it to be fair, but yea of course they did. Quality players playing together play well. That’s a recipe for success that we should expand upon!

But we don't have a goalscorer like Brereton-Diaz in our squad do we? ..... Not in Campbell - his ONE good run was few months at start of a season. He MIGHT turn out to be a course and distance goalscorer, but the jurys still out. Brereton-Diaz has only just started scoring this season. So his one good run is this run. Powell was banging them in for fun at the beginning of the season and it’s not unreasonable to think that he would have been comfortably in double figures by now. Brereton Diaz has scored 20 goals for Blackburn already this season.

Souttar was toss before his injury. Admittedly he looked like he was in desperate need for a week or two off.

But the most influential, like other teams Well that's what I call bad squad building if you can crumble after losing 2 players in a mediocre league Agreed. However, we have no cash to splash anymore, so we are scraping the barrel. Injuries to Powell and Souttar sucked the heart out of the team. We managed ok without one, but losing both was big. Bringing back a fat, unfit Campbell made things worse. Losing Fletcher won’t help either.

Not quite the proverbial “fat bastard” but he’s way overweight and much, much slower as a result.
