. This 'managing' expectation has gone on long enough - John Coates, sort it out. Get some f**kin passion into the club. Business as usual under the family That time of year again to dig up the quote Stoke City chairman Peter Coates has played down talk of Mark Hughes being fired by declaring: “I don’t know what all the fuss is about.”

Let’s face it without Wilmots worldie we were never going to score. Preston are utterly woeful and we’ve somehow made them look good. Yes we’ve injuries, but so have other teams. MON is at fault, midfield is key and he left himself short at the start of the season. Utterly depressing Xmas period this has been. They didn’t actually even look good, that’s the thing. Bog standard average teams manage to cruise past us easily at home, even when we’ve jammily gone in front or got an equaliser out of nowhere. There’s an air of inevitability about it. It’s really quite pathetic

Eehh ... I think M'ON will explain the last couple of games with Covid-19. Didn't he say we played well against Derby? he said at 1-1 only one team was going to win the game....but I realize now he didn't specify which team......

His record with transfers isn’t great. I certainly don’t trust him to bring in what’s required. thats definitely an issue but we are still in touching distance (im not saying buy necessarily) and he gets that and until summer and we see about things then. and on that point its a bit worrying that the only transfer rumors are some lightweight winger from Leeds which is the last thing we need. This season is done mate. Not a cat in hells chance we’re getting anywhere near the playoffs. We’ve had 24 games and had 5 good performances at most.

Here's a question, will Radio Stoke actually grow a pair of bollocks now and ask the difficult questions or will it be business as usual? Oh yes I can just see that old woman babbling a question together, not s chance.

I think differently but it needs a reset of MONs brain and 3 key additions for me. Don't get me wrong we have been awful lately though.

Is there for grabs if we can sort ourselves out. Nowhere near too late but need something to happen quickly , if player recruitment, great

Where's TP these days. I think I'd put up with drab 1-0 and fighting seige mentality for a while, if it meant losing this powder puff, aimless, and inert manager we now appear to have. We need someone to put some fire in these waster bellies. Unemployed and there's a reason for that. No one wants to watch that shit in 2022 Won't argue on that, other than to say beggars and losers can't be choosers. Whatever we got with my comment, we would be no worse off than having to endure the shit that' been dished up by the current incumbent - and I don't really like TP.

Same trajectory as last year, mid table, awful football, mystifying substitutions, nil progress and team selection that rarely relates to performance. To think that the board turned Graham Potter shows a board that has no vision and no idea how to run a modern football club, safety first approach that hasn't and won't get us anywhere.

Injuries, absences, mistakes in loans…all play a part. Given what’s available to select I don’t expect too much more to be honest. I can see us sticking as opposed to twisting in the window. I agree. We are riddled with injuries and to expect any more than we have shown is unrealistic. Top 6 is not even remotely possible after the injuries we have suffered. Wouldn't want promotion this season anyhow as it would surely lead to dropping back down at any rate. I have supported MON but have to agree with some on here that he has taken us as far as he can. We need an International manager, someone with a different vision of the game. Let's continue to promote and encourage a build with youth and play the long game on development. Early season was an indication of our potential without injuries but that has since changed unfortunately.

I actually dashed home to catch that, I should've taken the overtime. I know I've said this before, but I fucking hate football. Why can't I grow out of it? I'm in my fucking 60-s ffs!

I expected that today…
Patience wearing thin but amazingly still got two games in hand and I said after the injuries get through Jan and be close enough to playoffs.
By sounds of it we can’t bring many in which is very worrying and more so he keeps saying we have some great kids coming through but isn’t using them. We need a new midfield
