They have cancelled Thursdays game with West Brom cos of covid. Imagine our game with them will be cancelled now due to the ongoing isolation fall out from that.

It should go ahead, its still 8 days away. There game on 29th is off due when the cases started and only being at the end of isolation. No different to our game thursday going ahead but todays not. They have a gap between wednesday an monday that should be sufficient, like derbys gap last week and cases being before ours meaning they go ahead tomorrow.

Ten days isolation, even if it started 2 days ago leaves very little time to train and prepare for a game. Hope it does go ahead but I’ll be surprised

I expect fitness could be an issue for some players coming off the back of covid. I am speaking from what i have seen with work mates who after 10 days have not felt 100% when returning to work.

And it was Wednesday they had positive cases. We have to play 3 days after coming out isolation. Derby will be very similar playing tomorrow, came out of isolation end of last week.
Preston should be out of isolation around the day of there next game being off, that one is only off as its too soon, enough time based on when others have resumed for it to be on monday unless the outbreak re appears. They would call it off now if it was a case of not being out of isolation, like we did early with Barnsley

Apparently the covid players are training as intensely as ever, which is a resounding indictment as to how serious covid affects fit healthy young people... Unfortunately they can't train with other team mates which is a bit of a blow to drills and formations etc.

Is there a possibility of our Derby game being postponed or is it too soon to know?

Is there a possibility of our Derby game being postponed or is it too soon to know? Still every chance see Hull v Blackburn today either team could get cases in match day lateral flow tests

Looks like Preston have sold around 1,500 tickets from their allocation of 1,600 so a crowd of around 21,000 for Monday.

Davies Edwards Batth Wilmot Fox Allen Clucas Campbell Vrancic Doughty Fletcher I prefer the look of this side, although I'd rather not have to pick Clucas, but we've nobody else until Thompson is fit. Vrancic can drop deeper to support when we don't have the ball. I like Campbell wider and Fletcher up top. Doughty undoubtedly needs an opportunity at some stage as Tymon has been dogshit recently, but if be inclined to give Ince a go on Monday. He looks after the ball pretty well and at least can Nick the odd goal, the thing that worried me so much on Thursday was how easily we kept giving the ball away.

Yep, I can’t stand Clucas but there’s no other options in there unless you put Wilmot in, but that would mean Chester playing. Ince probably deserves a game but I think it’s a better balance with Doughty on the left and Campbell on the right.

Davies Smith Wilmot Batth Fox Allen Clucas Ince Vrancic Tymon Campbell Put Campbell in for Tymon and Fletcher up top. Campbell can’t lead the line as a lone striker or even as the tip of a three. He showed that on Thursday. He was so much better when he went onto the left. Plus Tymon was woeful.

I don't think Fletcher has it in him to play a full game just yet.
