Since becoming a miserable single individual some time ago a lot of the stuff I used to enjoy just doesn't happen anymore. Pub at lunchtime on the 25th, nope, going to my mates farm for the turkey with son, nope Christmas eve mammoth pub crawl, sadly missed. I haven't got an issue with a walk on the beach on my own but some of the old traditional messing about is missed. Boxing day football will be hard to replace.

A Christmas Day walk over the fields with the dog timed to coincide with the church bells ringing out the Carols.

Putting the Christmas tree up on Christmas Eve with the kids. The good news is they're both at home for Christmas, the bad news is they're both home with Covid
