Had the misfortune of drinking one at ht yesterday...got me thinking, is there a worse lager out there🤔and why the hell is it so popular in pubs? Who drinks it? Suppose on an all day session you don’t want to go off like a 🚂 but can’t believe how popular it is. Up there in the top 5 shitest for me .. Top 5 worst lagers 1 Carlsberg (zero taste/no strength) 2 fosters (tastes like slightly gassy water) 3 carling (see above) 4 Bud (Stupidly gassy/ no taste) 5 Coors (see above)

When it’s a good pint carling is ok,
It’s popular because for the price it’s better than paying an extra £ for peroni
I hate these posher trendy lagers.

Pints not too bad, cans taste like water, and that bottle yesterday was vile, much rather pay an extra quid and enjoy it! Think Heineken’s my favourite👌🏻

1. Fosters (carbonated water, even the Aussies don’t drink it) 2. Carlsberg (U.K. version, the danish version is a different beast) 3. Carling (tasteless pap) 4. Budweiser (sounds cool tastes fucking shite) 5. Coors (a beer for non drinkers)

Think Heineken’s my favourite👌🏻 I would love it if they put carling in a coke can size can. Love the stubby Heinekens but £5 for 6 takes the piss. You can get 20 big cans of carling for £16

The best readily available larger is Asahi. Readily available where? I've never seen Asahi in a pub in this city. Sainsburys yes, but not a bona fide drinking establishment.

Morreti ok, perroni meh, starapaman and madri massively overrated. I’m finding IPA’s and cask bitter much more enjoyable.

Carling is a steady 7/10 in every pub a lot of the other brands can be hit and miss depending on pub. Especially Amstel and Heineken

Shouldn't this be added to the oft-missed 'Lockdown Drinking' thread?
Shirley it's due a revival (what given that the corrupt corral of criminals that we call a government are likely to inflict yet another needless round of restrictions on the long suffering public)?
