Most seem to. Shawcross lived/lives in Audley near the post office . Been to his house oddly, not in it had to drop something there for someone re his shop . They were borrowing some beauty products from another salon my friend worked at in Nantwich and she asked me to drop at their shop but closed when got there. Rang the mobile and without asking, male voice on the other end, maybe Ryan just gave me the Audley address and said call back if lost !!! I never agreed to go there. His lad answered the door . Took me bloody ages to find as no phone signal in that area for me. Shawcross actually lives in Nantwich by snugburys. Well he certainly lived in Audley about 8/9 years ago, maybe less thinking about it. . He drove a black Landrover and always parked outside of Missy's in Nantwich, his wife's shop. Used to regularly get takeaway at the AroiThai and Spices. In fact Red and spices used to deliver to him personally out there also. Wrenbury not Audley...sorry, my mistake . Next to the post office/phone box mentioned above. Right description, wrong place. No idea where got Audley from.

When Stoke were in Prem you’d have to be in wilmslow/Alderley edge area to catch half the squad ….. such is their penchant for NOT keeping it real? As for Crouchy, similar to Harry Redknapp …… more clubs than Tiger Woods. That’s not a compliment by the way, zero loyalty, just came to whichever club was dumb enough to hand him 50 K per week, more money than most of us earn in a year, limited talent, physically weak, unco-ordinated, yes the odd assist & goal…. Big f….ing deal, that’s what you’re paid to do? My issue was that I sent a card for him to sign for my mate’s wedding card (mate was a fan) no reply, second time I delivered one personally to the training ground, security said he’d personally place it in crouchy’s pigeon hole, still no reply. And they wonder why the general public who are non footy fans think they’re a bunch of self interested, enormous tossers who - particularly since Covid & energy crisis & recession - should IMO be subjected to maximum wage structure.

Not disagreeing with the loyalty bit as most footballers are the same but crouch has got the most headed Premier league goals so I'd say he was pretty good overall.

How the hell do you know what he looks like? 😂 I think I could pick him out of a lineup better than I could Kilkenny or the lad that's just gone to Vale Oh yeah I wouldn’t have a clue what they look like. Probably goes for about half of the squad.

I went to the same gym as Andy Griffin before he left (CrossFit Napalm)
I’ve had a kick about in the street with Ashley Westwood while his was still at Crewe.

I walked passed Santi Cazorla in Highgate (London) pushing a pram. He was out injured at the time and he looked anxious when me & my mate recognised him, probably thought we were gonna nick his watch. I also met Peter crouch in a restaurant in Cheshire somewhere, he gave me a wedding card for some reason and said congrats?!?

Over the years I have come to accept that the story of my chance encounter with the then 3rd choice Stoke goalkeeper Carlo Nash in Sainsbury’s in Stockton Heath is less than fascinating to the general public 😕

The day after the QPR match last season we saw Jack Bonham in that restaurant near Stone (forget the name, its like next to a lake and does half decent Sunday dinners). Anyway it was my laddo who spots Jack on a table of 4 tucking into his starter. He said "Dad shall I go and get his autograph" (the story is 100% true up to now), I said "no son, I don't want him to drop my pen in his soup" (I made that bit up for a laugh).

Maybe this is why he kept forgetting to sign the card. Maybe it was. Not liking him has fuck all does with his football ability does it though and he was a good player. A good player? Oh dear, if you think he was a good player you’ve maybe not seen much footy over the years or not played much footy or are massively over-liking the player because he once (briefly, temporarily, and in-mercenary-fashion) represented your team! Footwork: less than average work rate: below average heading: above average due to being 3-4 inches taller than any opposition centre half ability to inspire the dressing room/leadership skills: prob average / all round score average at best, certainly not good! OK compared to some of the strikers we’ve had in the Rowett/Jones/O’Neill yes he was better but none of those guys were on 50K per week so all in all about the same?

Saw Ian Cranson in the Spoons in Stone a while back. I onceI saw Cranny in McDonalds in ‘castle. It was probably over 25 years ago. He didn’t buy anything. I think he was just using the toilets. I’ve also heard that someone once saw Wayne Thomas in a Greggs once. But I don’t think that’s true. Cranson works for Hermes now. If you find a parcel in a puddle in your back yard, possibly his doing

Yes, I seen the whole lineup "away from football" at nearly every match. But I also have to believe that AN will correct that. (The hope's already stalking me) We'll get there!

At the time not an ex player but remember coming back from stoke on trent college one time on the bus on me tod along king street passing king ford and saw Georgie berry, found me self automatically shouting to inform the rest of the bus that George was over there, was 35 years ago don’t think I’d do it now as king fords moved, and I don’t use the bus very often, and aren’t as excited about our football as then🙃

When Jose Mourinho was manager at Utd me and misses stayed at the Lowry hotel, him and all his back room staff stayed there apparently, me and the missus went to the bar got a drink and sat down, I forgot something went back to the room and when I came back she was chopsing to him and his assistant. I asked her I if she knew him she had no idea who it was, it was hilarious when I told her.
