Had a look at the preview and this looks like a really well written, interesting analysis - now on my Christmas list.

Also realised I used to catch the same school bus as ChiswickPotter in the 1970s!

Really good listen. Football being covered in an intelligent and humorous way - who would have thought it possible ( certainly not any of the national broadcasters!)

Agreed. Looking forward to getting that.

I bought the Paul Merson book the other day. Not seen reviews but he's seen some chaos so could be an interesting read.

As I've posted on another thread here's 4 tests to judge it by

1. Will it stop or at least greatly reduce the liklihood of unscrupoulous/incompetent/corrupt owners destroying some of our great historic local clubs ? In short, will it stop another Bury ?

2. Will it stop another European Super League or other similar greedy proposal ?

3. Will it ensure proper fan engagement at each club, and give those fans rights of veto over certain things ?

4. Will it achieve a greater redistribution of wealth in the pyramid ?

Agreed Malcolm. Rick parry's Damascene conversion to support for an independent regulator suggests 4 won't be fixed and hence 1 won't be guaranteed.
