Every time the shit have a bit of a bad run of results sky sports seem to spend nearly all the program talking to loads of ex shit players and bemoaning that they are too good to be losing to this team and that team.for fucks sake give it a rest.

They always bang on about doing things “the United way”.
Which it seems means trying to score lots of goals and develop youth players.
Real revolutionary stuff.

I guess more people interested than in any other side so makes sense. Don't think many would keep tuned in if talking about the ongoing problems at Grimsby or Carlisle. The way it is I guess

I have to say I used to watch SSN quite often when we were in the prem but I’m so glad I no longer watch the tripe.Apart from the score program when I’m not at games I have no interest whatsoever in presenters tossing off so called big clubs. The Man Utd fascination comes as no surprise whatsoever to me

Is this the same message board that gets people moaning about air time given to Crewe and Port Vale on Radio Stoke?

Is this the same message board that gets people moaning about air time given to Crewe and Port Vale on Radio Stoke? Well Crwho? can piss off, it's Radio Stoke and no one gives a toss about them. Of course the Fail should get equal coverage, unfortunately we share a city with them. I think Nigel should stop the Fail cheerleading though and remember that he's commenting to Stoke fans, a lot of whom don't wish the shit any good fortune. You'd have thought Fail were playing Chelsea not Accrington. Try and concentrate on getting substitutions correct in the Stoke match rather than having a lob on for the Fail.

Is this the same message board that gets people moaning about air time given to Crewe and Port Vale on Radio Stoke? A small few moaning to be fair. No problem with them covering other sides. They're part of the radio coverage area and of course they have to report on their games, nonsense to suggest it should only be Stoke. You're right though, the same people moaning that Man U get all the national attention as the biggest club in the UK complaining that we don't get the same treatment here, locally

There’s a lot of big news that goes on around the world that is ignored if it doesn’t have a Western focus in the U.K. or US. Why? Because a vast majority of Western listeners only care about what affects their own lives. I’m sure that the same is true for Eastern news channels. I know Al-Jazeera’s TV news channel in the Eastern countries barely reports on anything that doesn’t affect Iran’s policies. In that way, all news channels play to the masses.

Best thing is to cancel your Sky subscription, that'll stop them. 😊
Write them a polite letter, or phone them up and give the people on their call centre in Mumbai what you really think.
IIRC Vodafone lost quite a few customers when they first sponsored ManPoo.

I think one reason Sky & Sky Sports have a throbbing hard on for MUFC is that a certain Australian/American megalomaniac once tried to buy them !

They're on biggest they have a huge fanbase, and equally, just as many people who don't like them.
So more people watch it to see if it's good news, or slagging them off, more can be charged for advertising slots, and consequently sky make more money.

TV news channels are ratings driven. If lots of people turn off during a specific segment, they’ll stop running it because it loses them money on advertising. Was their ever a time in the media’s history that it wasn’t this way? I can’t think of one. It’s just exaggerated now because of the “need” for 24/7 news = playing the same exaggerated sound bite on repeat.

It’s all gone too politically correct mate and are frightened of taking both sides as it doesn’t suit the route they want it to go but that’s a thread for the EE board Back on track I see Pogba is dominating the sports news now as he’s the only player out injured in the football pyramid Sickening

This is the type of shit I was on about above….sickening and playing to the masses In the US, women’s soccer has seen 28k supporters in attendance last season. If they market it well, it could be a good money maker and drum up some more interest in women’s football. Getting women more interested in the game likely means more money for clubs as well. People are more likely to start watching something if it features others who look like them. There’s good reason to think that more women’s coverage will increase participation levels and improve attendances + tv ratings for the men’s game also). If Sky can get it right (getting more interested in women’s soccer) and more women see it as a viable career option, the standard will also improve.
