An interesting point to debate. Cooking oil is more than capable of smoking before it reaches it's flashpoint and subsequently combusts.

Easily done.. has this thread been merged in one of admins ceaseless and nonsensical culling of all new threads? No - it's entirely my fault! I just added the Farke story to an old thread Sowing a little confusion in these strange times eh?

The mistake a lot of people are making is they’re assuming that A) a manager who has done it at a different club is far more likely to do it for us, and; B) a manager who has failed at a different club is far more likely to fail for us.
There is plenty of evidence to the contrary, I mean Farke himself had no experience in England and a poor first season before winning the title in 2019. There are a lot of factors that we have to get right, and just appointing a manager who has previously won promotion without also addressing the other issues we have is going to leave a lot of fans very disappointed and scratching their heads.

I just can’t see why anyone would wish for him(Dyche)and his shit brand of football. It’s got to be a mental condition. I don’t watch anywhere near as much football as I used to but even when I’d watch almost any game Burnley would be one I’d turn off pretty quickly. Funnily enough another was Northern Ireland. In the PL yes, but the last two times they were in the Championship under him they hit 93 points both times, scoring over 70 goals both times. They won the league once and finished second the other time. If we were to make a change, we could actually do a hell of a lot worse than Dyche if he left Burnley. That's a great point 👍 My only worry would be he is like Moyes at Everton: really struggled to find his feet after he left as he had been there so long Good call nonetheless

What is Farke's style of play? How well is it likely to mesh well with O'Neill in a senior role insisting that we play like a mini version of Arsenal?

An interesting point to debate. Cooking oil is more than capable of smoking before it reaches it's flashpoint and subsequently combusts. Vapes too, although that's technically not smoke I suppose. More of a mysterious miasma that smells like custard or some other such dessert shit. It's a contentious subject that's for sure and a mystery that will probably never be solved (like who exactly buys commemorative china plates featuring members of the Royal Family or why Mrs Brown's Boys is so popular).

It’s like they thought “maybe if we take this wank programme and mix it with wank food, we’ll create some kind of vortex and the result will be incredible”. Mrs Browns Kitchen Ham and Cheese Crowns. I shit you not.

Knowing our luck tomorrow will be another 'Hughes at Watford' Sliding Doors moment where we'll scrape a spawny 1-0 win, Midtable Mike will remain in situ and the slightest hope of meaningful change will have disappeared over the horizon Tomorrow, I'd take that like a shot and leave the other shit until later. OS. I’m with you OS. No matter what the circumstances, I can’t believe that any Stokie would want us to lose!

Ill nail my colours to the mast and say Farke would be another mistake  in the making albeit miles more qualified then anyone since Hughes , , he has part of the CV required but not all all of it there  no evidence he can keep you up if he gets there , , we seem to stretch on players  but think conservatively on managers id be busting a gut for the best we can possibly get Nuno is an obvious one who has done both parts of the job  clearly has a special recruitment relationship if you got nether with a big budget and potentially has something to prove , we really need a statement appointment to rid the club of apathy and negativity One step at a time though eh Benj ? First and foremost we have to get there then worry about the rest then.. If we do go up at some point we could always try and tempt our old friend from Sandbanks out of retirement... Naah, Harry's winding down now. Sandra would go mad.

So from the posts above, he doesn't sound incompatible with O'Neill. A very similar possession based approach and the shades between 4-2-3-1 and 4-3-3 are not so great.

If farke is waiting in the wings and wants the job I'd pull the trigger now what we don't want is this to be false dawn and wait till the summer as no doubt they'll be other clubs in for him and we miss the opportunity.

Entertaining, really? Did they have an off day against us?

Yeah - entertaining wouldn't be the first word I'd use to describe them Or the second ....or the third.

More evidence that we are looking for a new manager. This suggests we might be looking at an end of season change. I fear this would be a mistake as the new manager needs to see the players in action before making contract decisions.
