There is match fit then their is game fit, reckon it will be 6-8 weeks before he is anywhere near that. This is a new one on me I must admit, what’s the difference between a match and a game? Oooh I like these… Is it the letters t,c,h and e? Tech? Is tech the difference?

It took him quarter of a season to get up to speed last year, he came good for another quarter and was then out. We have nee players, new system and new way of playing this year too.
I wouldn’t expect or disappointed if we didn’t really start to see him consistently making an impact for us until the other side of Christmas.
It would be great if he can help and start to chip in over the busy Xmas schedule

Some of the stuff is a lot worse than it should be and that attempted flick on last night was hilariously bad but it will happen. If it’s happening in February then I’ll worry.

This won't be popular, but he did nothing when he came on and looked miles and miles off the pace. I'm guessing 9 months out may have had something to do with that. Shall we sell him instead? I think he’s only pointing out what we saw. No mention of selling or general slagging off

He will be fine I’m sure My worry for Tyrese is more tactical, in my opinion he’s better playing in a 3 up top and from the right where he can cut in and shoot and play running at defenders, when he plays as a 3-5-2 he’s more like a number 9 and has to play with his back to goal which suits Fletcher but not Tyrese Why does he have to play with his back to goal? Fletcher was winning some great flick ons and you’d hope with fitness that Campbell will be running on to them. Brown had 2 chances because of Fletcher and I’d fancy Campbell to score 1 of them in his prime. I just think his best position is on the right of a three pronged attack where with the ball at his feet he can run at the defenders and cut in before getting his shots off I agree though with Fletchers flick ons but I don’t think he’s best playing off the centre half’s shoulder

Would be the best way to make use of Doughty and Campbell. Tymon and Doughty together on the left would be a real handful.

I thought his cameo was embarrassing and we are very lucky I didn’t cost us as we were effectively playing with ten men. Yes I can accept a bit of rustiness and a lack of match fitness but he looked shagged as soon as he got onto the pitch. He needs to lose some weight and do it sharpish, and I wouldn’t be in any rush to play him until he does

Ideal time is bring him on when we are three nil up, when the game is over 🙂 He just needs game time. I'm not expecting anything of him until after Xmas

His running looks fine, he looks fast as fuck so that's a huge bonus.
But he needs time playing football clearly which I why I don't understand why we don't wait until he's started scoring for the u23's again before we introduce him to this level

He looked better last night but that is the first time I have seen him actually begin to run a full speed since his injury,
just hope he hasn't lost his goal eye as he looks a lot like Berahino to me ! very worrying

He will obviously require some time to build muscle memory and then given he has no repeat of his knee injury he will be properly back up to speed, I'd say. Confidence isn't only in the head his body also needs to trust his recovery. He's young and therefore has time. Quality will out, I reckon

He’s been out for almost 11 months and has played 57 minutes of Championship football… I’m not sure what people expected? He’s going to have to play a few more games yet, and certainly a few full games, before he’s fully reintegrated into the team. We’ve just got to be patient as fans and not pile pressure on him as our only key to success.

It’s an odd quote, I agree. Also, if anything it should be the other way around. Anyone can have a game, but a match implies two relatively similar quality sides….they match each other. Either way, he doesn’t look match fit or sharp. He is knackered after 20 mins and during that 20 mins he’s very off pace. It’s perfectly understandable and natural. He needs to get one to go in off his ass or something. Something to break the duck of games without goals will help him recover some confidence lost as well.

Fitness ok, but after almost one year out, you really expect the same old tyrese to come back and smash the goals in? Ok. I think whenever someone starts a thread and has to pre-emptively go on the defensive, they're on a fishing expedition. Each to their own I guess.

This won't be popular, but he did nothing when he came on and looked miles and miles off the pace. Definitely needs match sharpness, which he will only get by coming on for 20-30 mins. That header he missed was kind of pathetic though. Brown was much more effective than him today and had a better partnership with Fletcher. Can’t wait for the Campbell of old to get back into it though. The old brown turned up last night... Beyond useless. Campbell has just been out for 10 months, we need patience, he will only get stronger and sharper with competitive minutes under his belt

Confidence isn't only in the head his body also needs to trust his recovery. He's young and therefore has time. Quality will out, I reckon Unfortunately, most people don't understand how the body works. My 16 year old grandson was jumping towards 7 metres in the Long-jump and made UK national finals. Then along came covid. He didn't/couldn't train for a year and at 17 in his 1st competition back he jumped 6.09 metres despite being a year older and much stronger. In his 2nd competition he did three no-jumps. His rhythm, mental awareness and the muscles he'd honed since an early teenager were shot to pieces. That's what happens when an athlete gets a massive setback. My grandson's coach was world junior champion triple jumper, Ben Williams. He had a serious injury and although he's since won a European championship event as a senior, he's never got back to being the same prospect he once was. At the Olympics he came behind competitors he'd left in his wake previously. So don't expect too much of Tyrese. Give the lad time and with a lot of hard work and dedication he'll, hopefully, get back to being the tremendoud talent he was. OS.

Not necessarily to a league 1 club, he could go anywhere abroad, or another league domestically (within the UK, I guess there is only Scotland really), either way I don't see how 20 minutes and not moving much is better than 2x 90 a week in the u23s???? How is that possible? I know when I need fitness I need to train more, no matter how it is, and play matches at any level. If he's ready he's banging them in for u23s. Otherwise he's not ready.
