Does anybody know how long it's been since Stoke won more than 2 *league* games in a row? And is that another curse we need to get over?

I think DaveF said it was 5 years ago next weekend.
Its an astonishing accomplishment, right up there with 8 years since a win in London and our record on penalties.
If anyone is looking for a reason for the lack of a 'feelgood factor' around the place...

5 years ago today. We beat Swansea 3-1 having previously won against Sunderland and Hull.
I make that 219 League games since then.

We haven't got a run in us, whether than be on the pitch or a run of wins.
The last 5/6 years would test the loyalty and patience of any stoke fan.

It will probably not be improved any time soon. SIX OF THE NEXT NINE games are away. MON is going to be struggling to save his job I feel. Could this be the beginning of the end?

We have a run in us,but only a poor one,and always will have under this manager with no tactical nous,to talk of play offs is ludicrous with the players he has brought in, that's why he is chopping and changing the side every week, reminiscent of Nathan Jones !!

He hasn't had real money to spend yet. I believe in O'Neil he's saved us once already. Perhaps needs to sharpen up his nous. I think he learned alot from Saturday and we will be more resilient in forthcoming games. Similar to when he firat came in let's grind results out regardless of sexy football or 4.4.2 going forward.

Well the worry is,the recent number of goals we have conceded recently are very similar in the last four games, gives the impression he hasn't learnt anything at all,and his regular saying after each game is...we conceded two soft goals today!!

The Rory comment was definitely Bolton, I distinctly remember sitting in the car after the game having been bored out of my mind for 90 minutes to hear him saying that Allen and Clucas were "very attacking", Bojan was a good player 3 years ago and the comment that he was surprised we weren't chanting for Rory because he was also a good player for us some time ago. The writing was on the wall there and then really.

The Ole Ole and Bojan chants took place at the Bolton 0 0 draw in December 18. Rowett reacted by criticising fans and said Bojan was yesterday’s man and they’ll be chanting for Delap to come on next. That predictably hastened the end of Rowett’s tenure.
