We are shit away-I pointed this out to one of my mates before the match.
Even when we play well away we still drop points.

I honestly hadn’t noticed 😂🤦♂️But it’s such a contrast and clearly needs sorting if we want to do owt. Too many poor goals conceded, too much poor finishing and a colander of a midfield.

Due to work I have only bought Away Tickets 4 - 7 times a Season for the last 5 years. My Win rate is insane 60+% … I have bought Millwall tickets for me and my lad. We will “Not Lose.” 👍🍺😂

The commentators on sheff u tv said we were the only team to turn up this season and attack, and also we gave them more chances than any other team.
Maybe we should change our approach away from home

Did anyone else not realise our away form was so shit? Away form meaning results or performances? Seems to me we are generally playing well but not getting the results. This is where having a top drawer striker makes a big impact. Hopefully we’ll have that again soon.

This is where having a top drawer striker makes a big impact. Hopefully we’ll have that again soon. I think that’s the thing. I’d say we’ve been comfortably better than most teams we’ve played this season, bar Fulham and maybe a couple that have escaped my mind. We are approaching every game as if we want to win it, which is great, but away from home especially, it’s not always going to come off. I’m not sure who is really at fault for it. I don’t know if it’s still a case of us being a bit soft, or MON not setting up right. He’s been criticised before this season for being negative and now it feels like the complete opposite. I think, on the whole, we’ve had a tough set of away fixtures and if we continue with the same approach it will yield more points than it currently is. There is no way we can continue to play so well away and only pick up so few points. It’s clearly working overall given where we are, we just need to keep going with it and hopefully lose this soft underbelly and realise what we need to do to take points away from home. I don’t think I’d be suggesting he needs to change anything.

Oh yeah it’s clear to see this is where our struggles are.
We’ve played better but just aren’t getting the results and it needs to be addressed.
We won’t continue are hot streak at home so we have to improve.

Away results not good enough. However we have had one bad game (home and away) - Derby - all season Should have won at PNE and should have drawn yesterday
We should go to Millwall and win.

we are one good goal taker away from what could turn out to be a great season, The midfield definitely is an issue too. A goal scorer may hide that issue more though for sure. It’s so porous.

It all evens out but we can't solely rely on home form.

We are shit away-I pointed this out to one of my mates before the match. Even when we play well away we still drop points. Agree with this. I was at Bramhall Lane yesterday and despite a poor performance the important thing was not to lose. Me and my mate were saying after the match that we need to pick up more points away as our home form won’t last all season.

Should have gone with the team that beat West Brom, Thomson has more defenceive awareness than Sawyers, but we were winning till we brought on the subs,Clucas I ask you,it then should have been Thomson as we were still one nil up,we then had two players who neglect their defenceive duties in Sawyers and Clucas,I said at the time he came on,that's it we will now concede, O'Neill still manages to balls things up with his choice of substitutes.

I honestly hadn’t noticed 😂🤦♂️But it’s such a contrast and clearly needs sorting if we want to do owt. Too many poor goals conceded, too much poor finishing and a colander of a midfield. Ive said this before why do we persist with this 3 5 2 formation away from home. We are 1 - 0 up and ten mins of normal time remaining. I noticed in the first half Chesters was breathing heavy at corners. In the second half they made their subs and thus our back line needed addressing and we have ostegard and batth on the bench. Souttar had worked hard all match and required both mental and physical support. At some point the concentration and energy levels were going to become a factor. So we bring on Surridge and Fletcher after their first goal, ok a decision made before the goal was scored. The shelf Utd fans were right 1-0 and we fucked it up.

3 away games for me this season, 3 defeats. I might give them a miss for a while 😂. There was a period in the Prem where I went to half a dozen away games for 3 seasons and didn't see us win a single one! In fairness we've always been rubbish away, the only question is how rubbish? A Stoke fan clutching a ticket for an away game is the very definition of an optimist!

The system works home and away Chances for and against over the season backs that up System and chances are a different concept to whether we bring back 0 points, 1 point or three points back from our travels though! One nil up away from home we should have two banks of four and make the game impossible for them.

I disagree,we were outplayed in midfield first half. 2nd half played well but Wilmot got caught up the pitch for the equaliser. Teams come through us like a knife through butter at times and have most the season. We need to tighten up if winning away . We are not prolific enough to out score good sides.

It's funny really. Last season this forum was full of people moaning about how we were too negative. Now that we are being more expansive and creative, people are saying we need to tighten up and just sit on a lead. Personally I don't think we need to do anything different other than be a bit more clinical in front of goal.
