Davies 6 Could he have done better on the seond goal? Smith 7 A good outlet Wilmot 7 Souttar 6 Not at his best Chester 6 Tymon 6 Not quite on it Allen 6 Had a poor first half, much better second Sawyers 6 Clearls has great quality but he lost his man for the second goal Vranic 7 Seems like his name is always up on about 60 minutes. We are clearly less good without him on the pitch Powell 7 Some things came off, some didn't. Brown 7 Worked hard and deserved his brilliant goal. Pat of me still wants Campbell in ASAP though.
Subs: Clucas 6 Fletcher 6 Surridge 5

Davies 7 Souttar 6 Wilmot 6 Chester 6 Tymon 6 Smith 6 Allen 4 Sawyers 5 Powell 5 Vrancic 5 Brown 6 Subs Clucas 5 Fletcher 5 Surridge 5 Gouranga, I'd perhaps have Sawyers at 4 also but other than that, pretty much how I saw it. Felt like the midfield was the problem as it has been each week. Too many playmakers and pedestrians no real grafters.

Davies had a couple of good saves too, but maybe he should have taken the second one? Not sure I noticed during the replay.

He had plenty of time to get goal side and never did. It’s one thing to get caught out and not get back, it’s another to not do the basics like get goal side on an attack. I don’t know what Thompson did wrong to get dropped. If I was him, I’d be in the ear all day pleading my case.

How tymon gets anything above a 3 is amazing....didnt beat his man once to the by line ...whereas their wingers were doing it all game...

I was annoyed by Sawyers after their second too as he easily could have closed that space down, why he didn't is really beyond my understanding. Would have been satisfied with a point this afternoon, but no points are always disappointing.

How tymon gets anything above a 3 is amazing....didnt beat his man once to the by line ...whereas their wingers were doing it all game... He was worryingly poor today. It was exposed just how one-footed he is today and how that restricts our game. Their defender had him in his pocket all game and forced in moving the ball back on his left foot.

Davies 6 Kept us in it first half. Lost it with the rest of them for 5 minutes in 2nd half. Smith 7 Dangerous at times and solid defensively. Wilmot 7 Good movement, but nowhere for their goals. Souttar 6 Below usual standards. Jet setting to Japan last week doesn't help. Chester 6 Solid and unspectacular. Tymon 6 Tried to make things happen, couple of decent crosses. Allen 6 ok, but kind of out-muscled by Fleck and co. Sawyers 6 Great in possession, not so great defensively. Vranic 7 Why was he taken off? Has excellent distribution and game control. Powell 7 Decent performance but a little off in front of goal. Brown 8 Worked hard, great goal. Excellent pressing, shame he had to come off. Clucas 6 OK good start, but became the usual meh as game wore on Surridge 5 No impact on game

Didn’t do much at all today, maybe helping Chester out limiting his attacking.

The last thing we needed was the international break. We were slow and a bit clueless first half and to be fair they should have been out of sight. Second half was so so much better, after the goal we looked like a promotion team, so in control, so what the hell happened? Two good subs by them? Sawyers was ball watching and completely let his man go, from being comfortable and looking to go third it all went tits up. We have to kill teams off when we are so dominant. All in all, apart from a barmy few minutes it was a really good away performance in the end, they will be up there come April time too. Onto the diving coniving twats we go, home advantage and we need to close that gap.
