As a Stoke fan exiled to Sheffield, very much looking forward to saturday. Should be a good match too.
A heads up, for those visiting, there is a new sports bar near the station called extra time, formerly spearmint Rhino for those who know the city. It does a job and will have the early kick off on etc. No dancers though, but it is only 10 mins or from the lane.
Up the Potters.

Do you think we will be penned in and marched around places by the police?

I'd avoid the pubs on London road near the ground as they are typically home fans only and drink nearer the station or in the city centre. The city centre is only 5-10 minutes up the hill from the station. For the ale drinkers there is the rutland arms near the station or the sheffield tap, the pub inn the station itself.

Last time I walked past it was boarded up, but post lockdown may have reopened.

As we've sold out and I expect quite a few will be letting the train take the strain (I will) I'd expect to see a few bobbies to be out and about on Saturday. Whether you'll get marched around will depend on how many arrive by train and how the bobbies view the potential for fun and games. Sheff U are no mugs at home and will gladly oblige if anyone goes looking for it. As someone else has mentioned it's perhaps best to avoid the pubs on London Road. If you intend to just go for a good day out and show some respect to the locals you'll be fine.

Been told by the landlord of the Howard pub he is accepting away fans in his pub and no home fans prior to the game its 2 mins from station I hope it is not raining on Saturday. Last time i went in the Howard they had loads of buckets all over the place to catch the rain coming in through the ceiling.... Better off walking up the hill a few minutes. A few half decent pubs up there. I prefer the Graduate or the Norfolk Arms both are near to the Station.

Maybe they have fixed there roof problem now I'd hope so anyway, I was told graduate is another good pub too will see what Howard is like first

Defo just after a good day out and a couple of nice drinks, not looking for any trouble, just didnt want to be stuck in one place with all of us

Has there been any news on Sima? It’d be nice if he could be on the bench at least.

The bookies fancy a home win.
Sky Bet 11/10 Sheffield United 23/10 Draw 13/5 Stoke
One thing for sure is we will will get pushed back in a way we haven't been since the Fulham game.
We are going to need to hang tough if we are to get anything from this game

I’d say that despite a great last performance they’ll start this as favourites and a draw will be a good result. I can see Allen and possibly Thompson both being rested due to them playing in internationals with another game on Tuesday
Davies
Wilmot Souttar Chester
Smith Thompson Sawyers Tymon
Powell Vrancic
Brown

Allen last played on Monday so has had an extra 24 hours rest than Thompson.
