He may well just be going to watch a game, wherever he's gone. Not sure O'Donnell would be a Smith upgrade (and we didn't move for him when he was available - and now he's contracted until 2023?) Possible though. Is he more of a RB than RWB though? The 2 midfielders we were semi-linked with, that ended up at Luton and Preston, were the more obvious SPL cheapies, if we were on the lookout north of he border |

Surely he was in no fit state to attend a game today. Him, Rory and Holden must have been straight up town after that triumph last night.
Stumbling out of Genting in the wee hours, then back to O'Neil's for the afters. Still fucking pissing themselves at the Sky Sports pundits hypothasising about how Stoke were going struggle with the famous West Brom press that's precisely 11 games old.
"Get that Glenn Murray bollocks up on your phone again Rory" Michael would say, pointing with one eye closed and the other squinting, assessing the remaining levels of brandy in his tumbler. "What was it he said again? That's it, he said he thought we'd have to adapt our game, the daft cunt."
Holden is the new boy. So he would be sent out to Tesco Express in the morning for the full English gear. Dean would come back with all the right stuff but fresh tomatoes, Rory wouldn't be happy. "Fucking hell Deano, what the fuck are these? Always tinned, always plum, Holders"

- a proper left sided CB, allowing Wilmer to play to Harry's right where he looks much better
- a proper DM (no explanation required), and
- a foil for Ty, most probably an orthodox number nine capable of holding the ball up.
Any other incomings would surely unnecessarily diminish a budget which would be better used on the above.
There's still a bit of pruning left in the squad which would help create the space for these three.
