Probably the safest away game in the country, if you go on the train you can pretty much avoid any close contact with a single Millwall fan with the walkway that takes you down to the turnstiles…… Prestwich, not been to the Den before, was gonna get a taxi to the ground 60 mins before kick off, don’t want any hassle with the daughter coming along. Would this be ok or better to get the train? Thanks Overland train all day long mate as Werrington says, straight down the walkway to the away turnstiles. Contrary to popular belief if you're walking around the New Den with your kids you're very unlikely to get any hassle, I suppose it only takes a couple of idiots but I've had some decent chats with Millwall fans coming away from the ground in the past. Get the train if you can mate but either way you'll be fine.......

Brave taking the kids to Millwall but sure of will be fine! Should be pretty much a sell out or close to it What an idiot. You were saying you’ve never been yesterday and now you’re fear mongering this bloke taking his daughter over absolutely nothing. What a weird comment to make and your the idiot for not reading between the lines! I said I am sure it will be fine but giving the reputation I wouldn’t take kids myself not just because of Millwall’s fans, probably some of ours as well! Due to the fact who we are playing. Don’t need to go to know that! Sure he’s big enough to make his own decision now get back in your box

I can’t believe I had to explain myself to be honest for something that petty… guess some people ain’t got anything better to do on this board. Can’t say I’m surprised I’ve seen the comments after one loss…..

Can’t say I’m surprised I’ve seen the comments after one loss….. You’re talking about London and Milwall like it’s walking into the Gaza Strip. You’ve never even been! It’s a perfectly safe day out for anyone who wants a perfectly safe day out.

That's like Rees-Mogg saying Tory MPs don't have to wear masks because they're convivial - as if that controls the virus. Just because you want a perfectly safe day out doesn't guarantee that you'll get one - your desires do not control events. Unless you're David Icke.

Much prefer the atmosphere of away games but the overall cost is off putting. Yeah it seems the cost is rising all the time (like everything) homes only for me these days.

Only started going back to away games as I thought I was getting to old for them, and the experience is like chalk and cheese when compared to home games. Fantastic atmosphere, banter and buzz. The difference between tonight and Hull was incredible, Stokies in full voice is a thing to behold. I even hugged a fat stranger after we scored 🤣 Respect to the fans that do this week in week out. Already looking forward to Sheffield 👏💪🏽 "Respect to the fans" "...fat stranger" Couldn't make it up.

Cost definitely a factor especially a week after Sheffield away No change out of £100 yesterday for me: £46 on the rattler (including the travelcard) - yes I know I can for free on club coach £30 match ticket £4 breakfast from Oatcake shop £20 on beer (£4.90 a pint of guinness in pub showing the chelsea match beforehand) £4 KFC Wow burger box for train home £5 on 4 pack for train home Rinse and repeat for Luton in 2 weeks, so not a cheap month by any stretch of the imagination Then QPR in December to look forward too

Nearly had a heart attack when I got £6 change for two pints but welcome to London eh… Can’t believe we ain’t won in London since 2014… surely due some luck. Ref certainly didn’t want us to change that.

You'd eat meals and drink (I accept that beer is expensive in London) if you stay at home so is personal choice. As for children I don't go to away matches often and always buy tickets over the phone when I do. I have always been asked if I am taking children or if I'll want to sit down during the match, apparently they try to seat you near the fron of the block. Has worked well in the past for me except when Mama scored at Man City right in front of us. Got a great photo of him celebrating but everyone rushed fwds and I also got a man land at my feet in between the rows of seats!!

Drank around Borough Market and London Bridge, overland train there and back then pub. One of the better away days, don’t believe the hype. I was there on the infamous Tropics day and gout out ok too. 😊🍺
