Been thinking the same myself. Our league postion makes us a far more attractive proposition for someone of his profile. Think this one would benefit everyone if we could bring him in.

I’m sure there have been comments from Rory before along the lines that he wants to let Liam make his own way and not be too close to his development. That would make a loan to Stoke pretty unlikely, as much as it would be nice to see Delap on the team sheet again.

I know and I can agree on why that would be the case but a 6 month loan just help us get in the Orem be good all around he looks a real goal scorer

He’s not ready? Yet pep had him in the squad twice for a Prem game and champions league. I follow him on insta and every game he plays he scores and gives an assist every match

Rory has always stated it wouldn't do either him or Liam any good if they worked together.

Tommy Doyle would be a good option but he’s very much a player where we’d have to play him instead of Mikel/Allen/Thompson/Clucas. But he is brilliant.

Another hat trick for Man City U23s today. I know completely different level but he averaging more than a goal a game. What I've seen he looks the real deal, to be named in and regularly train with their 1st team squad he must be highly thought of. If available on loan I can't think of a single Championship team that wouldn't benefit having him. Our only hopes are he doesn't mind working with his dad and our location

Citeh will want him to play at a higher level. Maybe in Holland or Germany. Or keep him as a fringe player, for cups and early european ties.

Would a Delap/Clarke-Harris partnership lead us to the title - or would we have to settle for the play-offs?

Delap wont be loaned out, he'll be brought in to the team like Foden was, if he's good enough.

Makes me laugh how Derby are even being linked with signing players right now whether on permanent or loan deals! A club that is in turmoil on & off the pitch with all sorts of shenanigans going on behind the scenes, I honestly couldn't think of a worse club for a highly promising young player to join right now! Have Derby even got the funds to pay Keoghs unfair dismissal compensation out or will that be £10 a week like victims of crime get! Was only a month or so back they couldn't afford to pay their staff & player wages 🙄.. Wonder where Paul Jewells been hiding aswell recently, to suddenly crop up with an insightful suggestion as to who Derby should be signing! But having said all that, Man City would probably send him to Derby on loan just to piss us off like they did with Jack Harrison!
