Not a dig at him but more perplexed......if he’s so good (and it would seem he is) why the feck are gonna loan him to us?

I'm going to be incredibly dull and point out that it takes young players moving to a foreign country a good while to settle in and get up to speed. We didn't see the best of Arnie until the back end of his first season with us, and he came in with much greater pedigree. Zzzzzzzz

Maybe they want him to get some experience in the English game before putting him into their first team. I suppose loaning him to the Champo means they can see how he plays competitively in this country without risking throwing him into their first team too early.

This is, or should be, a Rock the City signing if ever there was one.

Idolised Salif Diao as a toddler To be fair, we have got a proud tradition of Senegalese players (and Ibrahima Sonko)

I wonder if we have been chasing this guy for a while even though FFP make it impossible for us to sign him.

Are we having him all season or is there a possibility we’ll have him for half the season, they see how he does & we see how Campbell gets on?
If all agree we could possibly extend for the rest of the season - although not sure how we benefit from that if he’s struggling?
I’ve got no idea how loans work to be honest.

Has he signed then? Or is this just four pages of people getting excited over rag journalism.
Believe it when it happens...

Can't wait for the local commentary team to get stuck into calling the actions of Abdullah Simon.

Why are we wasting our time with him when Berahino is available again.

Is the loan deadline the same as the permanent deal deadline? I thought the loan window usually ended later - or has that changed?

A 'Thierry Henry-style striker' The emphasis very much on the word 'style' one would imagine. Reminds me of a Scarlett Johansson style girlfriend I once had, blonde hair

Looks like we have a good working relationship with Brighton. It still doesn’t sit right with me that they’re so far ahead of us currently but it is, what it is I suppose.
Our time will come when we’re above Brighton in the pecking order and hopefully it’ll be a lot sooner than seemed possible 3 months ago!

Not a dig at him but more perplexed......if he’s so good (and it would seem he is) why the feck are gonna loan him to us? Couldn’t the same be asked for any loan? Weren’t you banging the drum for Delap? Is the same not applicable there? He’s only 20 and has seemingly had limited senior games (<40 according to transfer market). To me, this sounds like it falls into the same kind of category of a team having a player that could become good, but not having the space to play him as regularly as would be needed. If this is true, it would suggest that Brighton seem to think he has a lot of potential but don’t think he’s ready to start for them, so are letting someone else do the leg work of bringing him on.
