Just noticed Asmir B is in the commentary box for the Chelsea game. Off the top of my head, that’s Garth, Upson, Adam, Dixon, Tone, Hughes, Crouch - sure I’ve missed some- who are all making themselves heard as football pundits. Are we now a finishing school for media trainees?

The fact that you forgot Stoke legend Michael Owen from your list is shameful

The fact that you forgot Stoke legend Michael Owen from your list is shameful I hang my head. Exacerbated by forgetting our greatest ever manager who is now a regular SKY pundit, game show host and crooner.

I always reckoned that 'Waddo' walked on water but did not realise he was doing all this extra stuff from 'the other side'!

No one has mentioned the worst pundit of all time. Legend. His punditry is a breath of fresh air in the foggy smell of Lineker, Shearer etc who just spout the bleedin' obvious and get paid handsomely thank you very much. I do remember his best one liner when he was pundit on final score and Ricky van Wolfswinkle was playing for Norwich. Garth just couldn’t get his tongue around Ricky's name and reverted to calling "that Wolf van winkle player" to the amusement of the whole panel.

He praised Chelsea for defending Delap's long throw in a game Delap didn't play in. He tipped Morrison to play for England, a Scottish international of several years. He's a bloody idiot.

Yes but what a fantastic player for Stoke in an era when racism was normal for football fans, he had monkey chants , bananas thrown at him , called a black this and that etc , always rose above it , these black players today don’t know what it’s like today to have thousands on at them at a footy game

Crooksy, Robbie Earle and Mark Bright. Add Chambo in, the area produced a right crop of successful black players back in the day.

As a kid I used to be petrified when a black player played against us as was the days of Cunningham, Regis etc and I assumed that all were of that class. I was about 6 before the PC brigade appear. John Fashanu later proved my theory to be rubbish

Lineker is a real Leicester fan and no problem with him mentioning them, Shearer also with Newcastle. Is nothing to do with Crooks talking posh or not mentioning Stoke, just the rubbish he comes out with
