My only vaguely negative thought is that Vrančić's ball left Tymon with a lot to do. Luckily, the lad was in full-on 'I'm 'aving this' mode, so all ended well. At the time it actually reminded me of that famous Gazza, Sheringham, Shearer goal v the Netherlands. Tymon's was better, obvs. 😊 Vrancic’ ball was weighted to perfection, Tymon didn’t even have to adjust his stride…….. Well it made my bum clench for a couple of seconds.

Actually even better than I realised as started with Bursik, involved Ostigard, Soutar, Allen ,Smith ,Brown ,Fletcher ,Vrancic, Tymon....and I may have missed one out !!! Clucas, in between Allen and Smith

The move is up there with that passage of play at Swansea but this one ended up in the back of the net Edit…..just seen the passing thread so maybe it should go in there I've been watching Stoke for nearly 50 years and that goal is right up there with the best of them.

Key pass in the whole thing?
Joe Allen.
Brave, decisive and technically outstanding.
But according to some he’s not good enough.
What hairy bolloxology that is.

From that clip I think the only player not to involved was Wilmot, real classy goal that 👍👌

You’d normally expect him to play a square ball, but playing it forward to Clucas injected the necessary pace into the move and made all the difference. Lovely flick from Fletch as well, one of about half a dozen during the match!

Calm down 😂 He’s had loads more but people always focus on the poor games. And a lot of them were at least partly down to mad or bad management and/or poor players around him.

He’s been wank for years, but the way he put himself about and got a foot in on Saturday was absolutely top drawer

He falls into the same category as Glenn Whelan. People who criticized Whelan when he played for us, now realise how good he was. Allen is the same. Most of what he does goes unnoticed. Both class players to me. Appreciate him while you can.

Prone to poor form at times but often having to the work of those around him who were either substandard or disinterested.

Stoke through and through. No better man to captain us back to the top flight.

And "The Onlooker" wonders why certain posters dig other posters out.
Here we have a thread about a beautiful goal and the usual suspects are using it to lay into our Captain.

Both class players to me. Appreciate him while you can. Ffs have you ever seen our win % when he’s not in the team vs when he is? It’s not pleasant reading (for him). Most of our squad have been substandard for the best part of five years and he’s been as substandard as any of them. So far this season it looks like MON might be able to make him a useful part in an effective machine, so there’s hope yet, but comparisons with Whelan are preposterous given how awful we’ve been for the entire time he’s been with us.

That goal gets scored by Liverpool or Man City it get spoken about as goal of season contender. According to MgGarry, they see goals like that in every Crewe game, especially at home.
