I've only been following Stoke since 2014, but I'd have to say this may be the best start to a season I've witnessed. I suppose I could look it up, but why ruin my current happy ignorance if it isn't. Don't bother fact checking mate. That's not the way we like to roll on the Oatcake. When people on here say fact it isn't always!

I suppose I could look it up, but why ruin my current happy ignorance if it isn't. It’s only 3 games but I think it’s the best start for 23 years. The Brian Little season 98/99 started with six straight wins (in the third tier) before the wheels came off the bus with a defeat at eventual champions Fulham. We didn’t even make the playoffs and by the end of the season when our manager was allegedly shafting members of staff his team were getting shafted by anyone and everyone who turned up with half a plan. en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/1998–99_Stoke_City_F.C._seasonI have a feeling though that this season isn’t going to follow the same path 😀 BM

Yes and hopefully Michael O Neill is more interested in the players on the pitch than trying to be a ‘player’ off of it! BM

I may be a Daydream Believer, but if we can get the rest of the deadwood on The Last Train to Clarksville, I think it'll be a Pleasant Valley Sunday for sure. There’s definitely a new chant/song in that thread title. I’d do it myself but I’m tone deaf.

I think it was more a case of Birmingham dictating the pace by taking 40 seconds for every throw in,and slowing the game down too suit them. True, but the better teams were able to overcome that and we regularly struggled against them. Not many teams got the better of Lee Bowyer's Birmingham last season, and last night was a bit of a smash and grab apparently.Personally I can see them doing pretty well this season.

I was thinking things had gone a bit flat and the season was possibly on the verge of petering out. Not had a win for a couple of days now and ages since we signed anyone. Anyone know if we have a chance of getting JimmyMac back after he's peaked at Wigan. Jimmy, oh Jimmy Mac when are you coming back?
