Champions League Qualification
Glasgow Rangers vs Malmö FF
Read before the game the Rangers squad was worth four times more than the swedes. And Steven Gerrard as their Manager.
But Malmö FF won the first game at home by 2-1, so there was a chance still. Even after Glasgow Rangers took the lead. But then MFF got a player sent off. Nevertheless they equalised. And after that MFF also made it 2-1. It could have been even more.
But it wasn't the first time. Actually MFF haven't lost to Glasgow Rangers so far. I think we have 3 wins and a draw against the Scots.
Next round for MFF it's Ludogorets from Bulgaria. I really hope we could win. It's long since we had any success on club level in Europe.
An article pre-match said Glasgow are in more need of the money the Ch L can bring than MFF. After the last time they met ten years ago and MFF went through Glasgow Rangers went bancrupt and the fall began.
History repeats?

Really aweful defending by Rangers for all 4 Malmö goals. Started the season under par and it’s showed up v a Malmö team who were 13 games into their season. Bar the 30mins at the start of the second leg Malmö were the better team. Current Rangers squad cost £30million to assemble, not sure how that compares to Malmö?

And in the next qualification round Malmö FF beat Ludogorets from Bulgaria at home by 2-0 convincingly. On Tuesday they play them again. Not on TV.
