We need to sort out defending set pieces. I think the jury is out on what and who work best together, remember Robert Huth was not a ball player but a no nonsense defender who won a premier league title so horses for courses. I’m sure MON a and his management team are aware of this very basic fact.

2 stands closed for our game. Away stand open as normal. Be as many stoke as there are Birmingham fans at the game

Going to be a difficult game I think. Hopefully we start on the front foot and go for the win. Come on Stoke !! This is my proposed team (suspect MON keeps in Tymon and Fox for Doughty and Ostigard) Attachment DeletedHave a safe trip Stokies that travel (my nephew will be there).

With the season ticket snafu I just hope it's an uninterrupted game and safe passing going to and from said event. Could definitely see a Birmingham Fans Club Protest happening. Sounds like 2000 of their ST holders aren't going to be able to get in. [cue: Jaws Theme here] Hope they remember that their chairman NEVER wears Red & White. But unless they are giant idiots (Problem is: I suspect that they ARE) they should remember that it's not Stoke fans that did it to them. But I understand ... as with every place - there's a history. Let's have none of that please.
If that's overly ominous - wasn't intended. Kick the hell out of them, let them be distracted - we need a 4-0 because the ball can bounce OUR way once in a while and some of these shots NEED to start GOING are starting to GO IN.

If we win i think we are in for a good one. We never win often in recent years at Birmingham. I think we are building a good team and i can feel it as i type. Let's get behind Michael and show him what we’ve got.
Up the Potters.

Glad that "you feel it when you type".
Has a lot of class does that, and it feels nice too.

MON said it in the pre-match interview.
'We'll learn a lot about ourselves at Birmingham'
You know what happens next, win today and we'll believe anything is possible, lose and it will be another long dark night of the soul on here!

Both sides won their last 2 games so Draw looks on, which at this stage of the season I would take, although a win would be a bonus with no injuries or sendings off

I reckon he’ll go more defensive. Fox left wing back and Mario on bench with Clucus or Thompson in. If he does we will lose. Soonercsee us lose with a positive attacking line up. Let’s see if the leopard has changed his spots?

I ‘be said it elsewhere but in my 54 years of following Stoke , I remember 3 wins at Brum -1975 Jimmy Greenhoff double 3-0 win, 1982, Chamberlain destroyed them including a 70 yard run and finish 4-1 win and a night game in 88 when we won 1-0 ( think it was Simon Stainrod). I’d be really impressed if we won today, but probably more shocked to be honest.

Souttar has to start with possibly playing Batth on the left unless Wilmot better suited on the left. They like most teams very physical so expecting a very tough game plus our record at St Andrews not great. Last league win their is 1988 so time to rectify that.

This is a proper challenge today after the scrappy victory against a very poor Reading team.
Today will tell us a lot about our progress and prospects for the season.

Bursik Wilmot Souttar Osti Smith Vrancic Allen Powell Doughty Brown Fletcher You are dropping Surridge? Sub, second half. from the very limited amount i have seen so far, he looks like quite an angry player. So i'd have him chomping at the bit to get on, hopefully so he makes an instant impact.

It’s the second game of the season March; I doubt it will tell us anymore than the Reading game- unless we just roll over and tickle Brum’s belly for them!
