I have a fantastic parking spot but there isn't many of them so for that reason, I can't offer any advice. Every man for himself when it comes to getting a sharp exit

i may have missed the discussion but living out of the area yesterday posed a problem, we used to park on the old Michelin car park which has now been taking over by the club, we liked the place as it was relatively painless jumping back on to the motorway. with that in mind where can we look to park on matchdays now ?? i have no issue paying and no issue with a 10 minute walk, just the painful crawl away gets my blood up and i could do without that part we live north of stoke but used to travel down to junction 15 any help is gratefully received I too am out of area and as such don't know the finer points of the locations. The first game I can make is 11th Sept and it would help to know where I can now park if anyone could be so kind ? For the last few seasons, I have either parked in Pets at Home (turning into Stan M Way past Aldi and the pub and heading past Screwfix etc ) or more often turned right at the traffic lights before the big car park on the left, headed up the hill and left into a company car park ( can't recall which company) Can anyone advise if either option is still available ? Cheers Michelin car park is back open for match day parking at £6, as i understand it the club now own the car park and half of it is for staff with shuttle buses to the ground (staff only) the other half is for pay on the gate

There was a steward blocking off the top of Stanley Matthews Way by the Audi garage for about 9mins out of every 10!.. He was clearly under instructions to block it off to allow for the coaches & buses to gain access into the away end compound & the Boothen End Car Parks. But this caused such a long & unnecessary backlog along most of the SMW!
Our ground only ever having one main vehicular route in & out of it from essentially three access roads was always destined to cause parking & congestion issues.
Whilst sat in the Stanley Matthews Way backlog, it was interesting to see the Covid testing site had absolutely no one in it being tested & alot of sodden hi viz jacketed people looking absolutely miserable!

Buses ar now down by sir stans statue ...WTF is that about? Always used to be a fairly smooth get away from the West CP. The only wait for buses was to let the away ones go first, then everyone from the North and West car parks was let go. Worked fairly smoothly - not pefect, but it worked. Today it was a good half an hour before we were let go. Why are the Home buses now being parked up behind the Boothen?

Because they were from.the South car park which is now being used for the covid testing so the carpark is closed. Why not just park them on the west car park next to audi so they can shoot straight off behind away coaches or is that too sensible? What do the "supporters council" actually do? As shit like this they should be sorting, or at least attempting to.

Strange I didn't notice anything after the Reading game though. That's a reasonable suggestion about putting the coaches on the West for now. Although it might be because there's more space on the North - it's where the Coach convoy starts out from on Stoke away games.

I'm guessing the NHS/Govt/Serco must be paying SCFC a vast amount of money to be using our Club owned car park facilities. Else sure the club could of told them to do one & seek land elsewhere.
There was literally no one at that test site getting tested earlier, I mean who would on a match day anyway?! But I can't imagine there's massive demand for it right now anyway even on a non match day!
The coaches on the Boothen End Car Park are causing massive pre & post match delays.
Really don't see why for the time being the coaches can't still use the south car park, the bit which stretches towards the back of the Audi garage near the footpath that leads up from the railway bridge. The bus/coach occupants can alight & board the buses well away from the CV testing area & then walk up the footpath towards the ground. It's defiantly closer than where they used to park up on the South Car Park & would be ideal & safer whilst there's no cars allowed to use that area. All the coaches could then park up together out the way of the main car parks.
Interestingly a large number of stewards were actually deployed onto the Boothen End Car Park to monitor spectators movements as the coaches & buses drove onto and around the car park area. Sure these stewards could of been put to better use trying to help get people into the ground quicker than doing simple car parking duties!
