Tbh the club need to sort out half time on the concourse first. Its a mess and there are far too many dickheads pushing because there isn't a proper way to queue. Proper Queues have been a feature of the friendlies , it remains to be seen if they’ll continue with increased attendances ..hopefully so , because a scrum is basically in nobodies interest , covid or no covid Fan zones ..not a particular fan of them , but not opposed to them The club I understand are frosty cold to the idea ..to change that you first need to find out why they hold that view..in detail , so each point , concern can be worked on to resolve Have they costed it fully, looked at legalities , existing franchise contracts , space etc in full detail ..or merely dismissed the headline ..a fan zone at Stoke .. no ..next question ..can fans help find the funding if that’s one of the major hurdles To change their view they have to be shown the potential advantages to them .( if any ) .. advantages to fans maybe part of that , but secondary initially, proposal has to be in detail not fag paper MB they’ll make thousands stuff , many .pubs , local markets thrive ..many dont ..it certainly now well beyond the simple ‘would the club do us a fan zone type question’ ..the horse has to be led to the water location , is it commercially viable each game , what value does it bring to the club , size , cost , cheap and nasty or bells and whistles , permanent, semi permanent or put up from scratch each game ( and taken down ) who funds it ..target audience , pricing of items , would the local council support or oppose it ( to possibly protect other local businesses) would the local safety and license committees support , would the police object , would it impact on other catering franchise agreements the club have in place. As the club appear to be cold to the idea .. then serious work is needed to change their view .. in answering or at least showing that the council on behalf of the fans understand those fundamental points and more .. allowing the club to be fully challenged , supported and encouraged to change their mind ..expecting the club to provide anything but a we’ll look into it fob off now , without having done some of the leg work is naive given their previous stance .they’ll simply quote meeting xxxx ...rather than a question the work needs to be presented as an outline document of options ..or else or that will happen is a not at this time of course all that and more may have been discussed and documents produced at council and sub council meetings with the club , in which case apologies ..but it’s difficult to determine if that’s the case from previous minutes Best of luck to the person standing for election on this ticket ..but it needs to be a plan removing blockers , not a mere question ..the club have answered that already A starting point might be to talk to other clubs fans who have one ..were they the leaders or did the club simply present them.. let’s not kid ourselves here there’s the Man City , Liverpool versions ..all the way down to fan led Luton version A starting point would be a fan led questionnaire to gain insight to likely footfall , acceptable price ranges .. facilities hoped for ..bells and whistles > cheap and cheerful .. to determine / show demographic and spending power of those attending etc

I don’t see why they don’t pull down the crappy breeze block walls around the outside of the stadium and push back the concourses by 6-10 foot. Instantly makes that space better for fans. Could expand some toilet areas while they’re at it.
Then all they’d need to do is invite some local breweries as guest beers (rotate every week, month or something?) and freshen up the food on offer, would make a massive difference.
As others have said, it’s really crap the way the club have ignored the match day experience.

Is there? Isn’t it all mostly built on now? For sure and a fanzone hardly a necessity. I think it's a great idea though. I'd do away with car parking spaces for one tbh.

You could definitely do it for the other 2 stands though.

For the Sentinel stand (you could do it for all but mainly thinking due to the lack of room) I'd put temporary drinks vendors before the game and at HT outside which would ease congestion inside the concourse

Card only to ease pissing about with change etc. Bottles only. And it's fast, efficient and get through a lot of people quickly. (in theory).
