What's the score with parking for the pre-season games? I usually have a ST for the West Cart Park, but I haven't see what the arrangements are for parking when I booked the match tickets.

I always remember a little Asian lad knocking on my car window at Villa and asking if I wanted to park for a 5er. he just moved his parent's garden gate and told me and car behind to park on his front lawn then put the gate back.

Have a feeling we’ll be out numbered by Wolves & Villa Oh I dunno - 3K plus home fans for our first games at the Brit at which the fans can attend for 16 months doesn't seem excessive. It would help things along a bit if we could make at least one other A list signing before the games. A lot will depend upon what percentage of fans are ready and able to take advantage of the ending of lockdown. Events around the country in recent weeks suggest it may be higher than some expect. And our (well ventilated) stadium with only a 6K ish crowd is probably at the lower end of the risk scale. I wouldn't advise too much time be spent in the concourses though.

With one eye on the fact that the "matchday experience" is going be different (worse) than what we've been used to, anyone know if the outside catering vans will be running - either this weekend or at all? For those of us who have to travel any distance to attend games, it's useful to know we can get some reasonable scoff before entering the ground - especially if food and drink can't be brought in using a bag now A burger, chips'n'curry has been a regular part of going to games for me and the lad for years now. I know there's the option to get food in the ground, but this is not as good VFM or as nice (IMHO). Plus I suspect that the concourse experience will be "annoying*" to say the least going forward thanks to the changes. * ie. even more annoying than it used to be.

This, from the Club site, doesn't really answer the question. "Car parking cannot be pre-booked but there is ample pay on the day parking available in nearby signposted third-party car parks. Car parks on the estate include: Autoneum Power League Hem Heath DWK Science Laboratories BFM Europe Glendimplex Longton Rugby Club Screwfix " I'm starting to think that tomorrow could be as big a potential cock up to attend as the Crewe game. (Anyone else expecting to roll up last Tuesday and just collect their tickets from the Crewe office?*). * They arrived at about 7.30 on a bus from Stoke that left at 5.10.
