He won't play every game but the games he does play he'll be influential you'd think. Promising signs. Why would he skip games more than average player? Nothing wrong about his fitness and he is only 32. Think the general consensus from Norwich fans was that he wasn’t a particularly fit player. And when he does start games, his influence tends to wane around 65 minutes in.

Shaq hit a few like that - albeit with his left. Yeah but they were crosses weren't they? Hey no you're right though.

Another good performance today. He’s made our central midfield look way more calmer, Allen actually plays better and seems more suited, he frees up Powell to go off and roam a bit, gets the play moving and happening with nice interlinking with our LWB and has a cracking dead ball delivery.

Thought Allen again did a good job defensively, but today he gave Wolves too many counterattacks due to sloppy passing in my opinion.

Yeah, I’d be fine if we just had him there to ruin momentum and hassle the other teams’ midfield, easy lay off to Vran/Pow and let them hit a pass. these friendlies he’s been good at quickly closing down their AM and not letting opposition midfields turn at us.

It will be interesting to see how this midfield develops over the season. I can't quite see it clicking how the manager might think it will in the hurly burly of the Championship. I can see clearly what he is going for, and he is going to try and dominate the ball through the middle with two ball players in Vrancic and Powell.
I'd be more confident if there was a huge beast of a DM in the midfield but Allen has a touch of the Woods about him in that role, in that midfield. I get the feeling he will be exposed more often than not and I have no confidence he can cope with it.
Allen for me is always the spare sitter in a two alongside a DM, the one who gets it and uses it simply to the wide men or the No. 10.
Powell for me is best as a 10 and that's where I see Vrancic, job sharing.
The way we are lining up, either in a 352 or 433, I think we are short of a DM and actually short of a right sided box to box man too, with Clucas being able to do the job on the left.
I don't see Powell or Vrancic being able to do the job properly longer term, and fear when the heavy weather comes they will get bogged down into a battle they don't really have the tools to do.
That said, MON is a vastly more experienced manager than I'll ever be, so of course I bow to his superior judgement!

He doesn’t look as much of a natural CAM as I thought he would be. Not like Powell. Looks like he could do a job as a middle two next to a defensive midfielder.

Vrancic looks to be a big part of the starting 11 plans for the new season, can't help bet winder wether we will see the best of him.as Norwich described him as an impact player to come off the bench and change a game.
Does he have stamina issues, if he does he could burn out if he plays 90 minutes every week
