What felt worse? For me relegation, as much as I loved watching England (at Wembley and at home) Stoke just brings more joy and inevitably more misery overall

I’d say tonight.
Relegation was inevitable for some time and I was prepared.
To lose the final like we have tonight is just horrible.

Tonight was a bit of a shame but any Stoke loss hits me harder frankly.
The two areen't even in the same ball park, I got really caught up in this euros but I've been surprised how easy I found this loss to take.
A better comparison is surely the FA cup final, or even pens after the Liverpool semi both of which left me utterly crushed.

I was lucky to go the Germany game and the semi, safe to say the Germany game was one of my best days at football however, had we won when I went the fa cup final, that would have easily eclipsed it

The Euros have been like a torrid summer affair with some hot knickered girl in the Algarve. I'll be complaining as much as ever at the first sign of the dreaded 'International break' in October or whenever it is

I was kicking myself for not pulling the trigger on final tickets (a week or so ago there were shit loads available) but in reality I couldn't care less when we play some piss poor competition in a friendly or lower side in qualifying

Did anyone honestly expect England to win tonight? Not when we turned into Stoke away to Brentford no It was similar to the Croatia game in the World Cup. In a bizarre way, the worst thing we did was to score so early.

Did anyone honestly expect England to win tonight? I did. Until he put Hendo on. Still believed after Jords incredible efforts with pennos. Bottled it. Our pace and power was literally bottled.

I’d say tonight. Relegation was inevitable for some time and I was prepared. To lose the final like we have tonight is just horrible. Seriously? Tonight England got to a final of a major tournament for the first time in 55 years and lost by the thinnest possible margin to a deserving winner but that is worse than when we got relegated? By next weekend we will have all moved on from England but we’ll all still be stuck with utter mismanagement at SCFC has turned us from 9th in the Premier League to much less than that in the division below. but that isn’t as bad as tonight? Really? If you truly think that, change your username. BM

Relegation was a different kind of pain for me. It had felt a fair bit inevitable for a while.
Tonight? I honestly thought we were going to win. It felt like everything was in our hands. Gutted.

I’m lucky with England. I just didn’t get nervous and I didn’t feel anything when we lost. Stoke lose and it ruins my weekend.

I’m lucky with England. I just didn’t get nervous and I didn’t feel anything when we lost. Stoke lose and it ruins my weekend. Weirdly felt the same, got a bit of a buzz on for pens, and felt nervous in stoppage time at the end of the 90, that was probably about it. Then we lost and I shrugged my shoulders and got on with it. Different with Stoke

We don't have to choose, unfortunately.
We get to experience them both regularly!

Relegation as it was happening the start of the season and before the signs were so obvious Last night was a match that we bottled it and didn’t play to our strengths Also the penalty taking order was mind blowingly poor Saka played when he came on like he had won a raffle to play The occasion obviously got to him This one is on the manager I’m afraid Roll on the start of a new season Gooooaaarrrrnnnnn STOKE

now that the england thing is over, with the squad we have at the moment the question is are we more likley to be near the top of the championship or the bottom.i think we need at least 4 new signings or we are in for another long hard season

Relegation. I can still get annoyed in the right (wrong) circumstances about our relegation in 1977, never mind the more recent ones. Losing finals hurts for a short period of time, but you only normally get to finals by over-achieving in the first place, whereas relegation always follows a period of under-achievement and has a much longer lasting impact on the club. A month ago I would have taken getting to the 1/4 finals as a reasonable effort, so I am already over not winning the tournament. Doesn't mean that when I meet my friends over the next few weeks that I won't go all "bayern" over what went wrong on Sunday.

Relegation......
What we had and the manner in which we let it all go and how it slipped through our fingers still rankles.
All so unnecessary.....

I was over England losing the next day,I'm still getting over us getting relegated. The discussion in the bog before the penalties was that we'd lost. We were out the pub the second we missed. And no-one seemed too bothered. The effects of relegation still haunt us and me.
