Before tonight’s game I hadn’t seen any weaknesses in Italy. However, they can be got at. If we play patiently and slow build up, we lose. If we get at them, play with pace, play bravely then we have a chance. I’d start Grealish as the amount of fouls he will draw from the Italians will see lots of set pieces and hopefully some sendings off….if we get a strong ref.

It’s classic repeat of a history in 1970 a functional Italy team reached the final to be ripped apart by a team who had a date with its Destiny to be the best football team ever, in 2021 they play a home nation so desperate to release two years of tension , a crowd so fervent one cam only imagine but 4 Britannia’s plus some amd a team of better footballers a collision of events only destiny again could create , Spain with Kane or sterling would have beaten them and they had to go through games against Spain and Belgium to get there so the draws been so kind to us It’s a shoe in the only thing we need to decide is the open top bus route . A lifetime of Benji’s positivity all in one post 👍

The best team in the tournament so far have deservedly made the final, they took off their best attackers early too. They will take some beating on Sunday. Can't say they deserved it tonight Fair play they stuck at it and carried a threat but Spain we're the better side Spain dominated but didn’t take their chances, Mancini used his subs perfectly, Italy weren’t at their best tonight but overall they have been the standout team for me.

Austria gave them a going over at times, certainly as good as Italy on the day. Belgium played them all wrong,Italy miles better but even that game Belgium should have scored a couple. They are a well oiled machine but they are not without weakness I wouldn't swap England's squad for theirs

Would much rather be playing Spain than Italy. just look seriously solid Dunno. Don't think we'd ever see the ball vs Spain. Italy are very solid it's true. Not assuming anything vs Denmark though! danes will quite fancy it also. Far from the easy game a few predicting

Neither will Trouble England I don’t fancy the prospect of Insigne up against Kyle Walker On any other day may be but Kyle Walker will be absolutely Great in the final the Italians leggy and the English riding a tidal wave of destiny on home turf in a atmosphere of delirium

Far from the easy game a few predicting I haven’t seen anyone predict an easy game against the Danes, on the contrary I think we all know this is the biggest game for decades against a side riding the crest of a wave. That said we SHOULD beat them😉

I think that the Italians celebrated as if they'd won the tournament tonight. Hopefully they won't be celebrating on Sunday night.

Italy will make it difficult but it will be a joke if England don't win this tournament with the home advantage they have.
It's handed on a plate really.

If you cant celebrate getting to a major tournament final after a tense penalty shoot out it would be a bit sad. Italians like to express their passion, that is their culture. It's nice to see.

Why isn't every game played on neutral ground? Why would they be? There is home advantage for at least one team at every tournament, this edition just spreads it round a bit more.

I agree with your analysis but not the recommendation. What we really need in the centre of the attacking midfield 3 is the best forward passer of the ball. Meaning it’s not running with the ball, which is Grealish’s strength, that causes Italy problems, it’s the runs we make without the ball to get behind the defence which means we need someone who can make the pass to deliver the ball. Spain’s goal showed this. That was mostly about Morata’s run and Olmo’s superb pass. The finish just needed a cool head. That means we play Foden between Stirling and one of either Sancho, Grealish or Saka behind Kane as our attacking threat. (Id go for Sancho to make up that 3).

England got a good deal but home advantage is still spread around more than any other tournament isn’t it. Lots of teams played their group matches at home.

True, but it is effectively a home tournament for England. Cant understand why both Semis had to be at Wembley but c'est la vie.

Because it gives both sides equality in related to travel especially with covid etc.
