But... As everyone likes to do when we bring up England stats....have you seen who they were playing? Largely teams like Moldova, Georgia (who drew against them), N. Ireland, Gibraltar etc. They've had the odd Austria here and there and Germany (who they drew with around the same time N. Macedonia beat Germany) but it's not as if they've been playing top ten sides regularly and sweeping them aside. A bit of perspective and balance here is needed. As i said, people always like to trot out the "Yeah but they're shit sides" when we mention England's impressive runs. Denmark, in reality (and emotions of this tournent and what happened to them aside) aren't really a side that this England team should ever feel worried about. Edit: Admittedly most of that is me trying to convince myself so i'm not shitting it too much for the next 4 days, but it is true nonetheless. I think more a case of that they have gone under the radar a bit for the decent team they are with all that's gone on. Can I jut point out that I tipped them for the semis on here pre tournament Yes you did. They are a decent team with a bit of pace and a strong team ethic- not to be underestimated, but I’d be disappointed if we do not beat them; we are a team that appears to be hitting form.

England winning 3-2 aet. Watch it be 0-0 now.

None of their side, get in ours. That's a decent reason to believe that we should have enough to beat them.
Add in strength in depth...the gap widens.
With the right approach to the game, it's ours to lose.

Don’t underplay the Eriksen incident.
This has brought the Danes together massively and with a will to “do it for Christian” then I think they will be a tougher proposition than many are suggesting.
We should have too much for them, but I think it will be a cagey game of few goals.

Not long since we played Denmark over two legs and they beat us 1-0 on aggregate (Erikson penalty at Wembley)
Hopefully we are even stronger now and they are a little weaker.
PS only 20 months ago and we had two players sent off in the game at Wembley.

Early Maguire red card and a dodgy penalty, don't think we would've lost otherwise.
Comfortable victory on Wednesday.

Suspect he'll go back to a back three for this. And for the final if we get there.

Schmeichel for Pickford Kjær for Stones Mæhle for Shaw Højbjerg & Delaney for Rice & Phillips But I agree that you’ve got much more strenght in depth, which may count a lot this late in the tournament

Schmeichel is a much better keeper than Pickford. Why’s that controversial? Why is he? Because Pickford usually is a pretty shit goalkeeper and Schmeichel is better at every aspect of keeping bar passing and I’m not a massive of his either. Pickford has been pleasantly calm and assured so far (bar last night) for sure. But overall Schmeichel is easily the better goalie.

It won’t be easy, but we are stronger than we were then and I think they are weaker. They shut us out for 180 minutes and that will be their aim again.

One thing is for sure..Denmark are no mugs. England have got to be right at it on Wednesday.

Bottom line is Denmark are a decent team and capable of beating top sides and doesn't work player for player . England should beat them and won't get a better chance to make a final but they'll see it as a big opportunity as well Maehle had a great tournament and Denmark strong that that side and will cause England problems there.

That's not to say Denmark can't beat England. Denmark are playing out of their skins, as a team, and could beat anybody tbh

Biggest factors for me will be: 1. Home advantage, can present added pressure but undoubtedly more of a positive than a negative 2. Denmark look more fatigued - seemed very tired in the second half yesterday 3. Our strength in depth, looked fresh yesterday and didn't even have to use players like Foden or Grealish 4. St. George's Park - our players will be there right now getting the rest and recovery in with the world class facilities
If we can get an early goal or keep them at bay for the first 30-45 minutes, I would back us to have too much for them in the second half.

I still think we'll beat them, and put Gareth's ghost to rest.

Denmark have the oldest flag in the world ( should have saved that fact) and have excellent pastries. Lego is Danish and so is Lurpak but not the Great Dane dog.
